A bloody clean German prisons are look much more damn luxurious than Third-world's hotel rooms.
amazing & informative.. one of the best ted talks !
Yes Yes Germany! Love u
Germany doesn't have hoods full of angry young blacks with big calibre guns and no moral fibre…
Yeah, Americans killed all the ones with any fight in them, so of course they’re all clean and not in jail. None of them have any balls, physical or metaphorical.
There is no one there for you to forgive, they are all dead.
Our justice system is just very week, especially foreign inmates laugh about it and when they are released they go right back into crime. Nothing to be proud of!!
In a homogenized white country of course.
Come to america and go to an affluent white community and youll see low crime also..
REHABILITATION DOES WORK,PEOPLE CAN CHANGE AND BE BETTER PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS
Muss mir hier anhören wie der von vergessen und vergeben redet hat aber zu der Zeit nicht mal gelebt so wie die meisten deutschen heutzutage
I'm impressed by him. I'm a German and I appreciate to live here. I hope that one day people don't associate us with the years around ww2. I live all kind of people if they are nice people
We had a drug dealer (mostly marihuana) in town who got caught. He either had to pay a fee or go to jail.
He had no money, so his friends and "customers" wanted to pay this fee and he just said no.
He said "It's just 9 months and it's close to town. My uncle has been there, it's quite nice."
After 3 months he was allowed to get his xbox from home.
Our prisons are nice.
That has changed drastically! Germany is not what it used to be 4 years ago! Women are now not safe anymore to walk on the streets alone in darkness!
more proof the 70s should have never happened, just ask the 80s
I'm sure the demographic differences have nothing to do with it. Lol. Thanks to merkel, those graphs are going to even out in the next 10-20 years tops. We'll sell you some nice private prison franchises when you finally come around.
So glad we are nothing like germany. You had a great past but merkel threw your country and your people right into the shiessenhaus.
nice and logical talk for everybody 😉👍
Moin moin eigentlich können wir auch gleich alle Kommentare auf deutsch schreiben
Yeah but the profit margins on German prisons are terrible compared to US prisons
Lip smacking did my head in. Could not finish the video. Seems to be a theme on Ted talks.
"canadians r kinda just like us"
All the canadians r shaking
We have a far worse culture of violence in America. Especially in social and economically depressed area's.
But the result of incarceration is different in other countries than Germany. Why only compare Germany to US , many other countries are worse
He made it to TEDx, his parents must be very pro– …ohh
Well, if murder rate is 9 times higher, the crime will get punished so incarceration is almost as much higher. (10x)
German cells don't have a phone in it and they don't cook their own meals. In case of the freedom they have in prison depends on the prison itself for example a youth prison has more freedom than a normal prison and it depends on the inmates
I am a Latina, I am running from crime in the Bronx, can I go to live in Germany with no persecution?
