  4. You can't do blueprints for someone else's ideas? That's the most ignorant thing I've heard in a long while. First of all, what he's talking about isn't called a blueprint. It's called a patent drawing. And there are a lot of good reasons why Bell or Edison would have someone else create patent drawings for them.

    For example, even if you design your own house, you will need an architect to create the blueprints. Similarly, you will need someone with some serious drafting skills and understanding of patent law in order to create good patent drawings, simply because those drawings must convey critical information in a specific manner in order to get an airtight patent approved. Chances are that Latimer had the mechanical and drafting skills that his boss didn't, and that's why Edison didn't do them. Of course, there's a high probability that he did screw Latimer, but the fact that Latimer did patent drawings isn't proof that those were his ideas. The fact is that people usually do have someone else do their patent drawings, so this guy is full of crap. I'd be willing to bet this ignoramus has never even seen a patent drawing.

    It is important to note that Bell and Edison took credit for the work of everyone who worked under them, including outright theft of other people's ideas. So, it wasn't just a black thing. They screwed everybody.

    Also, much of what's claimed in this video, such as that the white cowboy archetype is based solely on a black man that almost no one has ever heard about seems pretty illogical. If Bass Reeves got no recognition or credit for all his great accomplishments, then how did someone so unknown have so much influence on pop culture? It seems far more likely that the cowboy mythology was formed more from characters like Jesse James, Wild Bill Cody, and hundreds of other whites, than from one relatively unknown black man, even as charismatic and interesting as he was.

  5. I really think, that a lot of the things said in this video, are actually true. Thomas Edison, was not a very nice or creative person, like they try to portray him in history. As a matter of fact, I think he was a lier, scammer, and a bully. If you don't believe me, read or watch any documentary about Nikola Tesla. He try to ruin Tesla, actually I think at the end he did. Since Tesla, one of the greatest inventors of the 20th century, died penniless, unknown, and alone. Just because Tesla was a (white) foreigner, who invented, and patent a better, and more efficient electrical divice, like the two phace Alternate Current (A/C), Generator motor. Edison, tried or better yet, did make Tesla's life, a living nightmare, and at the end Tesla's invention proved to be a lot better than, that of Edison's Direct Current (D/C). American History, do NOT say much about that either… Image what else, they have hidden or altered, since slaves had NO rights! Food for thoughts.

This goes for other cultures, the white man, went all over the world and brought back those ideas from other cultures and called them their own, but to be fair, powerful cultures, did that all the time, like the Chinese, Romans, the problem in America is that the theft is blatant and the credit is not given, to their rightful inventors.

  7. I remember learning some years ago that it was a black man who first figured out how to do a heart transplant. He then taught a white doctor how to do it, who unfortunately ended up getting all the credit for it. I think there's now a movie or docudrama on it. I hope to see more and more truth like this come forward to help rightfully inspire blacks, young and old. Fortunate are all of you to possibly be living in times where you might get to experience a powerful, long overdue, well deserved rise in accomplishments, recognition, glory, and success! I will enjoy watching that rise but will not get to experience its glory as fully or as deeply as all of you, for you have all truly earned those rewards in their fullest degree. Those rewards are not ours to fully relish in. They're yours. I'm glad and happy for you all.

    Step 2 question why Buzzfeed is feeding false information
