    there are no parties of the people, so voting for a monster like trump is sensible- it scares the professional politicians. he is as close as the american system allows to 'none of the above.' and they still don't get it. can't afford to. not that trump is not dangerous. he is. but the danger is systemic- america can't elect a good leader because only corrupt people prosper in american politics. sanders? what can he do alone.? america needs democracy, and socialism, but madison designed the constitution to prevent that happening, and he did it so well, that only revolution can get you there. sometimes there is no solution, and the usa started off into a blind alley, and has reached the end.

I regret trying to hope the Washington Post is worth any real news and Panetta's hatred of Trump sounds like jealously. Trump is right about Germany making itself dependent on Russian oil and right about going to North Korea. Trump has a chief of staff, Kelly, but they are making up fake news like Kelly is leaving. Panetta wanted Hillary Clinton, the one who stole and destroyed classified documents. That's chaos and criminal but he thinks she's fine. That is his standard. Panetta sounds desperate and envious of Trump's success. The hatred Panetta and this WaPo guy reveal is one reason why Trump tweets. I'm a former Democrat turned Independent; and what good is Panetta doing using this show to say how wonderful he is while revealing his hatred of Trump? Trump is dealing with immigration yet Panetta cries about a wall for our border. He says go to the Midwest to find about values but Trump went and they voted for him. The superior attitude of these two is just a hint why people voted for Trump's organizational work ethic to tackle problems successfully.

Panetta has no insight whatsoever into the forces in the country that produced a Trump election victory. He merely observes that Congress has gotten more partisan with Presidents the past 15 years. Yeah, well why? How about NAFTA and GATT destroying tens of millions of jobs across the country? How about the divisiveness of the Iraq War?   32. From about 1940-1980’s congress was a majority Dem more times than not. Since 1980/90-2018 congress has been majority republican more than not. Republicans don’t believe in federal government doing anything but making the upper class wealthier and other bills to help the corporate owners. They r also there to prevent taxes growing up for the rich and anything getting done for the ppl. Congress did work better and things got down when Dems, who believe federal government can help the ppl, were majority more than not. Just having a Dem President when Congress is Republican majority limits what that Dem president can do. Both party’s r not the same. It’s Dems who r more proactive at confronting problems and helping the M&L income ppl. Republicans r politicizing the courts w/their federalist judges. Dems have to show up to vote for every election from school board to presidents every time if we want a working country back and stop what’s happening in the courts!
