  1. Another main problem is coverage from Sprint is pretty bad. There are lots of area down here in South Houston that don't have consistent 4G coverage. Let alone 5G.
All 5G phones also aren't just MORE expensive, but you need to be on Sprint's 5G plan. Of their Unlimited Plans, Basic $65/Plus $75/Prem $85, you are required to be on the Prem Unlimited which is $20 more per month just to own their 5G plans. So not only are the phones significantly more expensive, but the plans are more expensive. If there are no 5G coverage and you ONLY have 4G coverage, you STILL are required to be on their 5G plan. So you're paying extra plan cost REGARDLESS if they have 5G in your area/city/state.
I agree that the TOP MB/s is a overrated number, I've seen demonstrations of 1 GB/s+++ 5G phones which looks dandy and all, you just need to be standing within LINE OF SITE of a 5G node which is ridiculous.
I'd be happier with a 300-500 MB/s speeds if the connection was more consistent. Problem is, Sprint doesn't have THAT either.

  2. its sprint 5G in 2 years from now but by then the android OS that the phone gets left on will be unavailable for first server slot placements making the 5G half as good as it should have been when you first bought it is that in the contract?

  3. In the NW part of Houston, Spring Branch they are putting 1,500 stand-a-lone-telephone poles that the only thing is connected to them is fiber optic cable.
These 5g poles are spaced about 2 blocks apart.

Some towns are banning the 5G. When you look at the frequency and what it does to human skin you know why. It's kinda like sticking your head in a micro wave oven to talk.

  4. Driving a predetermined route on top of not true true 5g lol. Funny. 5g is 1.5GB per sec. They get technically 4g plus lol. 5g needs direct path of sight to work in full potential and cant penetrate walls or objects well.

  5. I don't believe those speed test connections comparisons are fair.

I use 4G all the time to download netflix..and is so much quicker than this film. The same with App Store.

I know 4G is so much quicker than demonstraed for me in a real world situation. I have no doubt that 5G us fast.. but i think its underselling 4G to make it look more useful.

What are the real world use cases for such fast download speeds in the future?

Maybe streaming games could be one, but that requires a rock solid 5G coverage while on the move.

I live in the UK, London. 5G is very much here too, but no one has really got any compelling use cases.

Using 4G, i can stream music/make video calls/stream home security cams/stream youtube and netflix. For me these use cases work flawlessly.

I ofter get 30-40mb download speeds from my 4G… this is so much faster than the diabolical 4G speeds you demonstrate.

The fact is that i can't even find a use case for 100mb connection in my own home, and i have everything hooked up to it. Hundreds of light bulbs/smart speakers/games consoles/PC /mac/ipad/iphone.

I love new tech, but we really do need some uses cases if this tech is going to fly. The downside of 5G including battery life and expensive phones make it hard to take seriously as an option. The net gain is negative for most users.

I'll be interested to see what happens

  6. Lol sprint is garbage I was a loyal customer paid every month from 2017-2019, they have the worst customer service, I've never received such inconsistent information until I encountered their reps, about 80% of the time the person you would speak to wouldnt have good English and couldnt understand what the problem is

Also I've had bad experiences with LG phones, they make good appliances and TVs but their phones are garbage, the last LG I had the fast charging feature broke

  7. I have the LGv30 and after a year and half the phone is slow and freezes half the time. I have plenty of hard drive space and I'm never using all the available memory. Every storage cleaner, booster etc has been no help. Never had this problem with my old S5 or any phone before it. Also the screen has a noticeable burn in the top part of screen. Will not be buying another LG phone. Idk what to go with next.
