  40. Great song but the video is lame. The choreography is wrong. The Jerk dance is not a casual up and down arm movement, it is called The Jerk because you are supposed to "Jerk" or snap your arms back and the Mashed Potato isn't even attempted. These dances he sings about are so easily looked up on the internet, there is no excuse for the "white version" of these dances. As someone who learned these dances back in the 80's from people who actually did these dances back in the 60's it saddens me that this passes for what people think these dances actually looked like. Watch some old James Brown videos and you can see him do the Mashed Potato and the Jerk. The Monkey was pretty lame too. Come on people! PS-I was blessed to be able to see James Brown in concert twice in the 80's and he was truly The Hardest Workin' Man in Show Business!
