  17. Well they can not inject malicious code into a vpn without an encryption key. Lazy programmers use online libraries and apis so it is trivial to track your ip address, switching every few minutes is laughable.

    Here's the thing, google has no need to check a site if it is safe because if it is not, the server ip is taken down. Yet we all gladly ask Google (or whatever) is this url ok, like knuckle draggers?

    So your browser is constantly talking to google. And if a web site uses say JQuery, or map api, or a font, that also sends your ip address from the vpn to the gawkers. Lazy programmers, not a security flaw.

    That is NOT fixable. All traffic by default is encrypted now days anyway so its sketchy to even use a vpn. If someone does figure out you use a vpn they can potentially get all your traffic wrapped up in a nice bundle, vs tracking a carrier who may divy up records a lot harder for a gawker to look at.

    Who asked Apple for gee wiz file sharing and location? I don't even want a smart phone sometimes with liar developers and device defaults not needed.

    Devices should have physical not software switches if you want trust. Microphone, data, camera, gps. I don't need somebody spying on me for my social credit score (horrors). Those doing the scoring want to be tyrants?

    Congress is going to have to hold companies accountable for 'commerce terms of service' in order to not violate deceptive advertising laws. You respect our privacy you advertise? Ok lets ask man on the sreet if they understand your TOS? If they can not, you violate commerce terms of service? We yank your business license?

    Thats where this will end up? That free ride is coming to an end?
