  7. I see there are a lot of negative comments because two of the original members are no longer in the band, may they RIP. It's kind of difficult to perform with the original band when half of it is dead, isn't it?

    I think the narrator imbelished just a tad when he says they have taken all the major continents by storm for 40 years and that in the 70's they were as big as he wants us to think lol. They were a good band but they were not as huge as this video portrays. In fact as a kid hitting his teens in the late 70's I can say that I never even heard of them or heard their music on the radio, which is a shame since I do like their music and certainly I think they should have been bigger. But the 70's was a time filled with huge bands so the competition was quite fierce. Sweet would have been competing with bands like Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, KISS, Black Sabbath and dozens of other huge bands that truly dominated the TV, radio and all other forms of communication.

  18. Early on it said Sweet had eught number 1 hits. That must be a count across various countries… because it certainly wasn't all 8 in the UK. Slade had six in the UK and were the most successful British band of the 70s.

  45. Possibly might have bought the Album if It wasn’t peddled as Sweet, same reason I wouldn’t buy a Badfinger Album and many more that trade on the abilities of those that have gone before. Sorry Andy but what you have is a tribute band albeit a good one.
    I believe Steve is pedalling another version.
    By all means revel in what you had but it can only ever be recreated by the original members, which is obviously impossible
