You're so bad ass…..and beautiful!
Part of the reason I named my son Apollo. Surely the greatest achievement the world has ever seen, with so many great minds working as one.
Fran w/ black hair is a trip. Hubba.
Fran if you get a chance can you check out these UNIVAC Sperry pc cards I found and see what you think? Here is the Bbay item number 174011737616.
Sorry to say, but you're hot, Fran 😉
I come back to this often, it's magical.
Looking for info on the saturn 5's. Came avross youre video. Absoulutly amazing. Thankyou. 'The curious droid' has just released a video explaing the lvdc ring.
Of course I'm self-inundating with Apollo nerdery on Youtube this month because of the anniversary, and I just came over from another video on the Saturn V's computer, thinking, "Didn't Fran on Youtube make an awesome comparison between the Apollo boards and earlier electronics?" YES SHE DID! I favorited this video so I can show it around. 😀
Great video! I had imagined that the electronics on Saturn 5's would have been advanced for their time, but never would have thought this much advanced.
I used to get given a lot of aerospace junk, probably shouldn't have had some of it, including a missile gyro with several motors and discs and one other thing I wish I'd kept, a load of wire with ferrite beads, dad said women used to sit in rows like a sewing shop and weave it, it was weaved ROM.
This is wonderful. Thank you sharing.

If any one knows, they will …..
they had wifi?
Some information about the LVDC is here
https://www.ibm.com/ibm/history/ibm100/us/en/icons/apollo/
Fran, what is the status of your LVDC project?
IBM froze the LVDC's design in 1964 so that technology is 55 years old!
So the difference between Gemini and Apollo is like Pong to Atari 2600…
Hi again Fran!
Loving your videos !!! thanks for all this eye opening information !!! Thanks again !! a Chilean fan here. (can I be in love with Fran without offending anyone?? pleaseeee !!! )
so cool
You look waaay young here. I get it was posted like 7 years ago (but just popped up in my recommended vids), but still.
You are so cute and beautiful
This is what i have been saying for a decade, progress since 1973 onward for all electronic concepts in design and manufacturing has slowed and not advanced as fast as the 1960 to 1972 era, we should now have unimaginal devices being produced and developed in 2019.
the mad apple destroys the bunch so let's do very well put together space videos I love your content
very cool
Happy Go Lucky behind my father's electronics workplace. 🙂
I still have his analog multimeter of your kind, only with 1 knob – still much better than electronic sh*t from Castorama.
Salutations.
Piece of art work right there. 12 layers! Amazing.
