3. Avoid using PPTP as it's insecure. It's encryption method is archaic and has been hacked by the NSA. Stick with OpenVPN and use the AES 256 SSL 3.0/3.1 encryption method.

4. if anyone is attempting this vpn setup and constantly finds it failing at log in try typing in on your ipad or iphone your username exactly like you entered into the ASUS router section for VPN. my username was something like: Tacojoe and tacojoe was failing. When I entered Tacojoe as the user name instead of tacojoe it worked. Go figure.

5. at 1:31, when I press "Apply", it shows the connection status as "Disconnected"  Why?  What am I missing?

7. Thanks for the great tutorial.  I am able to connect to my VPN via my iPhone, but once connected, I don't have internet on my phone anymore.  Any idea why?  Many thanks.

8. can asus VPN can be used on hidemyass or strongvpn payed service like DD-WRT or just to make your own vpn using your own IP ???

10. So I'm working on setting up a minecraft server, any idea how to go about doing that via an Asus router? None of the tutorials that I've found use Asus so none of the steps they outline line up quite right.
