Jump to 8:30 for him to mention the pizza place again and the 2 minutes of explanation of why he had good service despite obnoxious rules. I've never expected a ted or tedx video to be so clickbaity as this.
"What do you think they think about someone showing up unannounced?"
I'm inclined to think they'd be thought of as customers
Rip burts
He is like a weeb of lawyers
Regardless of the Opinions of those who couldn't follow the point and main idea of what this person was trying to explain, it is most certainly educational and valuable knowledge what's being shared here. if people took this approach to dealing with others it'd make a considerable change in Human relations. Respecting people's time is very important… likewise you'd like them to respect yours…
Following on the story he made about the pizza restaurant.
They received quality service because he followed the rules they had implemented in order to successfully give a fast and efficient service.
Those who can't follow simple instructions without thinking of how it can actually benefit them are poorly self-educated.
I am a lawyer. This is not how I live my life. As a thinking Lawyer, and not a robot, I know that where the reason for a rule ends, there should end the rule. A good rule facilitates reaching a result; it does not dictate results, as it appears to do at Burt’s pizzeria and this guy’s life.
I think the term is obsessive compulsive. What do they do, make the onion rings a day in advance? And seriously, does it really take 4 hours to make pizza dough? Another term comes to mind: control freaks.
Delaware is the best way to get to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania if you live in Maryland.
I hope Burts pizza’s building collapses, while this lawyer is inside eating.
I liked it. It's a way of managing what happens in your life and steering your life in a more desirable direction. It should be obvious that it's not about pizza ordering.
16 minutes on how to order a pizza 😂
Place is a front for the mob
I'm a first year law student, I pray I don't end up like him.
I wish that there was a rule that allowed me to get the time back that I spent watching this video.
Who reads a menu to look for rules 🤷
Prof. Reed: "FOLLOW THE RULES!"
Also Reed: "There are some Rules that aren't written down: Don't serve yourself a second slice, you're not a barbarian." Evidently, you're just very ENTITLED. I-
Misleading title to what is spoken do not waste time viewing . More like clickbate
there are no rules outside your own home that you made up how you want people to talk to you and how to like to talk to others
as someone who's mom is a lawyer I can say that this guy isn't a typical lawyer, he's just a sociopath.
This guy is boring
Yes.
This is what I need in life
Not even finishing this zzzzzz all I learned was never eat a Burt's pizzaria.
No Giodanos is actually the best place to eat it’s also in chicago
Bro I was just trying to decide the most legally safe way to order a very complicated and unusual pizza from my local pizza merchant…
so… whoever told regulation is bad for business is totally wrong… this guy(and many many others) gets payed because of lots of complicated regulation in every state that is also differing. If it would be easy, every Indian, Chinese, etc any and all country had companies in Illinois.
so… lawers are basicly engineers(or chess masters), rules are just not written in maths language.
