  1. Just a correction. Atkins is not high carb. It’s high protein and high fat. Also, Atkins is dangerous. He did not recommend enough carbs (through greens) to keep the liver clean. I did it and messed up my gallbladder. Anyway, Dr. Eric Berg devised the safe way to do Atkins, or rather the ketogenic diet. (We need to quit using the term Atkins and unintentionally lead people to look it up and start doing it). However, I don’t agree with it as a way of life. Like you said fructose in fruit isn’t harmful. Imagine not being able to eat fruit again? What a miserable life would that be. As a way of life, it’s sufficient to quit processed sugar, and eat more nutritionally loaded foods. And the least known secret? Eat very small meals and fast twice a week (courtesy of Prophet Muhammad, peace be to him). The twice a week fasting along with small meals starts ketosis do you real the benefits. It goes in line what one doctor said about it being better to dip in and out of ketosis than to permanently be in ketosis. Love and respect to the man who taught us the best way to do everything in our lives – prophet Muhammad (peace and salutations be upon him). Ameen

  2. So GMOs are more likely to cause leaky gut if you eat a lot of sugar in short amount of time? And that's why healthy people don't get the negative effects of GMOs as much. It's not because GMOs are inherently safe, but rather because their slow intake of sugar makes them less susceptible to the problems of GMOs.
    Is this true at all?

  6. What's even worse, is that they're advertising food as diabetic-friendly or keto food when it's not; so even when you try to educate yourself, advertising is still manipulating you.
