1. I have the 500GB HDD Super Slim PS3, I've seen in forums that in order to hack this one, I have to remove the blu-ray reader and install the Cobra ODE reader, cause' that's the only way to hack it, supposedly.

7. if im not mistaken the feature of otheros is still there. on my ps phats if i factory reset them they go back to the original factory firmware it came with. my ps3 use to crash alot. you just cant update to play online or sync (legally). also sony sent me like 8 checks already for thier lawsuit so im pretty happy lol

8. I personally used my old psp to enter recovery mode. Thanks to the guy who made it. I also used a progskeet for nand consoles… that was a pain in the as.s… and an e3 flasher for nor consoles, wich was very good, besides no soldering clips… soldering was always the best solution, but not always the easiest.

11. I seem to recall that the only reason Sony put OtherOS on the ps3 was to get around EU import tarrifs, something to do with consoles being a luxury item or toy and thus subject to higher rates than pc`s and general computing devices. Bet they regretted that little act of pennypinching.

17. I was pretty mad when OtherOS got removed (so much so that I took part in the class action suit as I commented on your last PS3 vid). At that time, the PS3 was my main TV emulation box. This was before the Twilight Hack opened my Wii up but even after that point, the raw processing power of the PS3 meant that snes9x and VirtualBoyAdvance ran significantly better on the PS3 under Linux in a hypervisor than they did unoptimized natively on the Wii.
