Millions of Americans who went to college are now crippled by their student loans. “Debt is the first thing I factor in all of my decisions,” says Jessie Suren, who graduated with a criminal justice degree and is struggling to pay off her debt.

  1. After watching this, as a Gen X'er in my 40's from Australia, feminism (with the aid of red pilling men via the internet aka MGTOW) has truly liberated & freed men from geocentrism. What red pilled man with no debt and a few bucks in his pocket would get involved with women like this, which is now the majority of western women including here. Even after a few years of marriage, a debt contract til 40 something, she now walks away from the marriage (as 80% of females do) and the court says your now responsible for any remaining debt, child support & alimony as well as being stripped away from any other assets accumulated (Screw that). I not divorced or even from the US and I can even see how this mess is going to end for all the liberated women out there. However, this really does need to happen though and a generation of entitled women need to be scarified, work til their 60's and beyond with no help from men to realise they were lied to by feminists of having it all. Meanwhile men, step back, NEVER ever help women and let them dig their own hole, travel the world and have non committal / cohabitation relationships and enjoy life. If you want kids, how about helping a few poor kids in a village somewhere else instead. All men (married or not) and boys should youtube MGTOW, find out if the truth from other men and not MSM.

  2. Some people go to college and don't know what they want to be. You can't know if college is the right choice without knowing what you want to do in the future. Why would you go to college for a trade skill job, or to do anything that doesn't make much money in the end? A college degree doesn't prepare you for jack. Much better off having real world experience.

  3. I completely understand. I'm not complaining about my debt, i'm living with it and paying for it. I'm not letting it keep me from saving for a house and starting a family. But going to a community college doesn't always guarantee you'll save money. I thought that too when i got my associates in computer science. Come to find out, when i transferred to the cheapest STATE university near me they wouldn't accept my programming courses. I had to take the same programming classes all over again plus the remaining classes needed to get my bachelors. I saved nothing, had no help from my parents until my last year, and i still had small debt from trying to pay for community college out of my own pocket. I didn't qualify for grants or scholarships because my parents made too much. And to those people bashing her for vacationing need to stop. There is nothing wrong with taking a vacation once or twice a couple of years! We were not put on this earth to be born, pay bills, and then die! I want my life to be somewhat eventful considering i don't know how long i have in this world. That's why i got a second job, not to pay more towards my student loans but to travel and experience the world! Actually enjoy life away from bills and stress.

  4. 90k in debt and makes 39k a year …… you can repay the debt in 2-3 years while on bread and water and doing overtime or having a part time job. ….. yeah cant have vacations to panama tho!

  5. Everyone on here trashing her, look at how dumb her mom is and how the dad is absent. Her mom taught her nothing but to live in the ghetto. All of the adults in her life are losers. And what a shocker, she resembles those that she is around.

  6. This mom is not smart. She pawned the loan off on her sister. That is pathetic. The mom takes no responsibility for anything. No dad in the picture. Crappy neighborhood. Her mom sucks!

  7. My dad paid for my college education which is why I have zero student loan debt. Most people aren't so fortunate like I am. I got a bachelors degree in accounting from NC State in May 2006. I currently only make $9.20/hr in my job but that is okay with me since I have Aspergers and am on the middle functioning end of the autistic spectrum. I live with my parents and so does my younger brother with cerebral palsy. My dad works very hard for the family and he has an extraordinarily hard life. Not going to tell his story here because he wants to keep it private.

  8. We have it all ass-backward including the guru's that teach you to squirrel away every penny you earn. Let me ask you this. WTF are you saving for? Your golden years so that you can have all that fun when you are over 60? That is complete BS. First of all, get the fucking middlemen out of the way. This includes the banks, schooling institutions, and everyone else with their hand out looking to take advantage of students so you can get on their payroll for life. If you want to get a good education get a trade. Period. Even better get one where you can apprentice. That way your education is paid for in advance and you perhaps even earn as you learn. Right out of high school I told my oldest son to go into the military. When in there I told him to take every dam course he could get his hands on. He makes 60K a year while doing it. He has been in there 3 years now and has done over 11 courses. More than most guys who have been there ten years. Ya, he chooses to take course versus having three kids before he's 30 and at least two wives. My middle son is finishing his law and security diploma (which will get him offers the same as this student). Cost: $4000.00 a year. He opted to do it in a year and a half so even more savings. I paid for it and I invested in him so it is money well spent. Even if he had to take loans he would only have 8K debt. Not 90K. My daughter is working at MacDonald's making $813.00 every two weeks. She is 18. Get it????? Live now. Gain real-life experience and start living today. Not when you are 60 and have been insolvent at least once. These schools are mostly businesses that run huge and expensive sports programs; they run property rental businesses and they pay their professor's exorbitant salaries to produce (wait for it)….nothing. This is some honest life advice from a 56-year-old and what to tell all these a-holes lining up for you to support their largess. Soon they'll expect you to pay for their retirement too. You willing to do that? Tell them all where to go and get your own independence. Look if you can predict what the world is going to look like 40 years from now then you are better than most of the so-called experts. So stop believing the lie. Start living now.

  9. Getting into the trades is a better bet, but let’s be honest.

Just create a product and sell it. You don’t even need to pay for a TV ad or radio spot anymore. Social Media could help you make millions if you do it right

  10. The student loan debt is not the only crisis.  When you add child support payments on top then problem is worst.  With  both programs you cannot discharge in bankruptcy. Why is the government imposing this restriction on our future population.

  11. F*ck me! US$90,000 for a Criminal Justice degree? I took a total of ~$36k Canadian in student loans to finance a practical degree. Sure it took me a while to pay it back (my choice as i could have paid it back much sooner). Only reason I took a loan was because I knee I could pay it back upon graduation.
