Jimmy, I like your audio commentary added after the video is filmed, easy to understand and very well narrated. Also, I love all your tips, i.e masking tape template, etc. I am a retired Instrumentmaker in the US but served my Tool & Die apprenticeship and we never had all the specialized tools we needed, so improvisation and making them ourselves was a huge learned skill at 16.
Same problem I have. So many tools and seems no where to put/organize them. LOL
Looks like Lacewood or London Plane to me Jimmy, not Sycamore.
I'd watch Jimmy boil water
Nicely done Jimmy, one can never be too organized!
These late-days NY basement videos might have been the peak of the Diresta teach-us-how. The current videos are fantastic, but have lost that tips-for-beginners feel. But us old hands have learned it all anyway, ha, ha.
So, since the shop move, do you still have this setup?
Your "stock" should go in its own organizer for brass, Aluminum, Steel, etc. That frees up your space for tooling.
I love your custom work, me I settle for a 5 drawer tool chest and have everything in that mounted underneath my Atlas.
Looks good. How long ago did you do this video, and how does the drawer look now. ?
Nice tips with the tape
Thanks for the inspiration! 👌
Ive really gotta learn from you when it comes to the importance of the project vs the shop with regards to “looks”. I waste so much time making my shop look nice with stains and paints, that i dont get to make nice products like you do. Always well done Jimmy!
Your workshop looks like mine! 🙂 I'll do a job, finish and then run off and NOT clean up. Great solution! Love those little boes they are great.
What type of router bit did you use? All I can see is the guide bearing. Is it like a flush cut with a cutter wider than the bearing? Thanks for the video!
Love your work
Great tip for getting the corners spot on.

I'm a little surprised you didn't use a dado for the drawer bottom instead of a rabbet.
you should listen more to willy, he knows how "in time" works!
I bet when you were young “James” was only ever used when you were in trouble! JAMES! Clean your room up this instant! 😉😂
