  1. Just as a heads-up, since I brought in guest editors to do the majority of this video, I didn't spend a ton of time on this, so progress on the Smash collab hasn't been affected at all. Give my three editors a big thank-you by checking them out in the description and maybe giving them a subscribe boyos and girlos

  2. And now the best thing about infinity war? Its followed up by another amazing movie, rise of Skywalker is just going to be cleaning up after the last Jedi then have a super rushed unsatisfying ending

  3. I think Logan would be a better comparison. It was also a story about a hero who failed horribly and was forced into hiding as the world went to shit. But he's called back one last time to help a young girl. They go on an adventure where the hero is forced to confront his demons, the girl helps him regain the hope he lost, and he redeem himself in a heroic sacrifice.

Logan also subverted expectations. Everyone thought Logan was the one who killed the X-Men, but it turned out to be Professor X. And it added a lot more complexity and emotion to the relationship between Logan and Xavier. Through most of the movie, we think Xavier resents Logan for killing the X-Men. But when the truth is revealed, we see that Logan was letting Xavier blame him because he didn't want Xavier to remember the truth.

  4. The thing about TLJ "pandering" to SJWs is that if that was the goal…it did a terrible job. The two minority characters who had a chance to be compelling and meaningful to the story were relegated to a pointless, stupid side plot. The two white main characters had the only compelling interactions.

  5. Coming back to this video after seeing Endgame(I saw it a week after it was out in theatres),I can definitely say that I'm not all that excited for the new Star Wars movie,as opposed to how I felt with Endgame. Endgame: Immense hype. New Star Wars movie: The only hype I got is for the music, and that's it. WTF guys?!?!

  6. I know you won’t read this, but still. I 100% agree with every point you made except for one. The Admiral Holdo scene completely ruins an important part of the Star Wars universe. Hyperspace is an entirely different dimension which is why you can travel at or faster than the speed of light in Star Wars without breaking any laws of science. This also explains why ships don’t randomly run into other ships and stats while traveling at light speed. They only have to ensure their exit is secure before jumping. Not only does this scene ruin Hyperspace because she should have just phased through the fleet, but the fact that she didn’t tell anyone about the plan led to a mutiny because Poe and the others thought she lacked a plan and that all their ships would be destroyed . All she had to do was tell them the plan and the mutiny could have been avoided.

  7. Can you do another video on subversion in Endgame? Kill main villain in first ten minutes and still pull off the rest of the movie (note, I don't think that it worked perfectly, but it was still pretty effective).

  8. J.J.Abrams made LOST?!
This explains so much…. I understand now… other than the Mission Impossible movies, I can't stand anything this guy ever made.
Ok, Startrek 2009 was cool too. Tho I hate the later ones.
LOST is just the prime achievement of dragging along people's expectations for YEARS and never rewarding anyone's patience. It was disgusting.
