  1. I think the truth is actually his mother was his best friend but somehow these two things got upside-down in his mind you can see to many flash back in previous episodes that his mother was so mean to Eliot and always hurting him. (Sorry for my bad English)

  2. I live in Brazil and I lost my father when I was eight because he was an alcoholic, a time after that I was abused too and seeing all this happening in the series left me a little shaken, I follow since 2016 and never expected it.

  3. I didn’t cry. I screamed. But I totally get your emotions about this incredible episode. The amazing acting did help. But it’s also the entire construct that Sam Esmail set up. If you go back to season one you see that this was hinted at since episode one of the entire show. Everything fits together. It’s almost too real. Kudos to the entire cast and everyone involved…. and, of course, Sam Esmail.

  4. I can't believe what this episode revealed but, I have to admit, me and Elliot have more in common than I ever thought. This episode was especially hard for me to watch. The pain of being hurt as a child by someone who is supposed to protect you and make you feel safe, it's too much to handle, so you black it out and push it to the deepest recess of your mind and you lose those traumatic memories until something awakens it one day. Elliot is going to be struggling in the next episode for sure. He will never be the same again. What a powerful episode. Awards all around for Rami Malik and Elliot Villar as Vera. I never realized the Elliot name connection either. This was the best episode of any show that I have ever seen…roll credits. Snare on drum. Time to cry in the darkness that is our shared pain in our little corner of the world

  5. Completely changes the dynamic of Mr. Robot too, thought he was basically an echo of his dead father, turns out it was the father he wished he had, one who'd protect him rather than hurt him.

  6. Amazing how you predicted every confrontation that was going to happen before you even watched it! It reminded me of Hitchcock too, especially Dial M For Murder which mostly takes place in one room. I thought you would be shocked but not cry this much!

  7. I didn't think that Vera could actually "break him down then build him up" before this episode, i thought that's the usual villain speach, but he actually did it. The writing of this show is just amazing.

  8. There is a fresh new show which is really good and I know you will appreciate. It's called War of the worlds. Yes, it's the same name of the film but it's a TV show. Well done starting His dark material.

  9. A real stunning episode I've always heard about the abuse theory online never expected it to be real though. For a while I had a theory that Darlene was going to be the "other" personality, since all of elliotts personas are his family. I thought Darlene was going to die and Elliott would compartmentalize his feelings once he found out and help him cope or something. Now it's looking like the theory that rami malek is not the true Elliott but a personality which makes sense since in the first season he didn't even remember Darlene  or seem to remember much prior. Does Darlene know about the abuse? Or did Angela know? I remember a scene with young Angela and elliotts dad watching tv hmmmmmm…. So many small little hints when you just think back to earlier episodes.

The acting was phenomenal, the dialogue the pacing everything was great it was shot like a stage play which was cool. Sam esmail is probably doing everything hes wanted to do before but was probably to risky to do in the middle seasons. I think best episode so far. Big mistake not bringing tissues btw lol. I cried too once the episode ended.

Here are some of my predictions
-Tyrell is going to be at the meeting
-White rose is building a time machine to change the past
-Next time Elliott and Mr robot meet Mr robot will take Elliott to where the personalities are waiting and reveal the true Elliott.

  10. This episode was awesome. The tension, the musics, the photografy, the majestic interpretation of Rami Malek, Cristian Slather and the actors of Vera e Krista.
    They were stunning.
When Mr Robot. said: "I can't protect you anymore." it really broke my heart.
    This changes everything.
Mr Robot, the violent personality of Elliot, wanted only to protect him for the very first time.
And now he can't do it anymore, because Elliot is simply broken.
    Rami Malek was divine.
The entire sequence where he realize that he was abused by his father is really a masterpiece. You can SEE in his eyes the desperacion coming trough.
    Amd what about Vera?
The only person who really understands Elliot and who cries for him and suffer with him is the damn assassin of Shayla.
    Beautiful.
For some reason, i didn't cry when Elliot founds that his dad is a pedofile, because of the tension for the moment and because it took me several minutes to realize by myself, but i cried when Vera caress Elliot and says:" I see you now".
I think this episode is the post powerful one of all the series.
    Good Job Esmail.

  11. The foreshadowing was there.
Elliot don't want guys touching him (except tyrell :p)

The pictures that they have are mostly all of elliots or with edward no darlene and the mom.

Elliot hacks and blackmail pedos. Could be unconscious action to choose them.

The secret that Edward don't want elliot to tell to his mom was not Edward's cancer but is what he is doing to elliot and probably darlene also. (Darlene and angela keep referencing the lolita book. Darlene have the lolita shades and the pseudoname Dolores haze while angela when interviewed wd whiterose have the lolita book. They've been probably knew this all along.)

Elliot told his mom about what edward did for sure.

The theater scene where edward was apologizing and elliot was numb talking to him and said he was sick but not the cancer sickness that we know then edward died and Elliot don't give a single shit about him and took his jacket. My guess was that's the time Mr robot was born as a father figure to elliot to protect him from the harmful truth that his real father did to him.

The dream sequence angela said to elliot that he was only born a month ago. The third alter is probably the real one. Just my random theory and why does tyrell have different effect on elliot. Bicth show up you crybaby bitch amd save your boyfriend mf tyrell imissu😝😂

  12. Did I think about his father as abusive figure before this episode? Yes. But I rejected that thought since why would he had so much happy photos on the disc? And Darlene didn't looks like she knew Edward as bad person. Definetly confused about that reveal.
Though I predict next time we see Elliot he will start talking to his imaginary friend again. Confessing how lost he is and how he need someone who he can talk to.

  13. Great reaction. Loved watching it. Rami Malek was amazing too. Im watching the scene for the third time and it still gives me chills. I also don't think this is the end of the Mr. Robot character. It's a manifestation of his father but it's everything good that his father was supposed to be. Also there is still the mysterious third personally we haven't gotten back to yet.

  14. I totally understand your response to this episode. I too felt overwhelming grief and despair for Elliot. Makes me think back to when Elliot told us that his "father got mad at me for telling my mother the secret he didn't want me to tell her" It's a distorted memory about that event and we assumed the secret was telling his mom about cancer, but maybe the real secret was the abuse that the dad was doing.
