The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack

They sound like the inspiration for Styx.
How come the words spoken by the little girl at the end of this protest song, have been removed by every track elsewhere ive found to date except this one? The reference clearly is to the assassination of Kennedy 'America' s President was promised in anticipation but was murdered by the hands of the inevitable "
loved Emerson as a musician, but his politics were bullshit, he had a warped view of America

I saw The Nice at the Boston tea party, they played America, I will never forget.
A promo for the (edited) single – would love to hear the audio from the live shots
Emerson, Lake and Palmer (obviously) & Pink Floyd ( you figure it out) brought me here.
In our next life, Keith, you are the teacher and I am your music student.
Nice musiic fantastic
With the great Davey O'List on guitar, the Nice's very own Syd Barrett!
Keith teached me, how to love classic music. Thank you Keith.
What a beautiful hit with the magic sound of the keyboard. It was certainly one of the best of years 60. A really magic entertainment. Britannic musical groups were formidable. Thank you very much Fritz5170. Maurice from France

bought this single on my 17th birthday. Keith Emerson was way ahead of his time… loved everything he did after.
Very beautiful title. I have the 45rpm record bought in October 1971
Keith Emerson did for keyboards what JImi Hendrix did for guitar? Thank you Keith. ❌
a most excellent band great album and of course this fantastic 7 inch America.
the good day yes
wow wow very nice
This song is absolutely fantastic. I remember that I heard it for the first when I was 16 years old, back in 1978……it struck me as lightning.
Heavy staff for that time…..NICE!!
Who else could transform Leonard Bernstein's music and turn it into a progressive rock anthem? Emerson and his mates carved out a significant part of music history. RIP
wonderful musician, saw at fillmore east maybe opening for the who
Great Video Montage! Well done that man. These guys were consistently awesome live too! I saw them at The Marquee in Wardour Street several times. On the first occasion, YES were the support band! They were a different outfit altogether without O'List!
RIP thanks for the pleasure you gave me.
Another maestro………few like him. While they sadly depart us, they are an important part of music history……always to be studied, appreciated, and never forgotten.
America is pregnant with promise and anticipation, but is murdered by the hand of the inevitable.
Thanks to Peter Gabriel's interview I know about these guys. (See Genesis on Trespass)
