Drug overdose is now the main cause of death for Americans under the age of 50, they are more likely to die from a drug overdose than a car accident or gun.

More than 70,000 people died from overdoses last year as opioids and illegal fentanyl – which is up to 50 times stronger than heroin – unleashed the worst public health crisis in American history.

Two years ago, پراکسی News reported on the growing problem of opioid addiction in the US, now we return to find out what happened to the people we met along our journey down the notorious I-95, the interstate that runs from Florida to Maine, and to see what has become of their struggle against addiction.

  7. You have to want a better life for yourself. The pain I have felt from the loss of friends and family hurts every day!💔 My 1st loss a friend 27 , handsome and funny. Shot himself in the head. My second friend, 34 took an overdose to die. My 3rd was my niece 26, hanged herself. Her Mom found her in the closet. She left behind a 4 yr. old and 2 mo.old daughters. Now have a 26 yr. old niece that came home for her 3rd. attempt to stay clean. She was gone for a yr. leaving a 4 yr.old daughter behind . We feel the pain ,and worry every time the phone rings that we will bury another. It's not at all easy to quit but, you can do it with support and follow the steps and go to meetings faithfully!! You don't know it all, listen to the people that have been clean a long time, doing that you will be telling your story one day of your sobriety. I will be so proud of you ❣I'm 69 this Nov. and 34 years sober from alcohol.

  12. Capitalism kills people. And the planet. Makes people depressed, stressed out. Alone. Lost. Enter the drugs, alcohol, shopping, food…Empty people. Empty country. Fill in the voids like they can. While the people that sell the drugs, wants a piece of pie of that ugly, ugly system that is capitalism. King money, "power" will kill us all. And our planet.

  17. No hope left in the world. The world will come to its demise within the next 20 years so let these ppl die in peace. Obv if ur using drugs that can kill u, a part of u wants to die… easy population control. Sad, but we are all going to die addicted or not.
