  2. First of all, NOBODY rubs their palm like that. The proper technique to rubbing your palms is to use 5 fingers, not how you did it. If you use 5 fingers you'll also clean the dirt in between your fingernails. I guessed you never worked a real job before. Second of all, you're suppose to grab a paper towel after you dry your hands so you don't touch the door knob. And finally, for someone who has been washing their hands for 18 years, I can tell you right now this tutorial is misleading, and missed 2 of the most important steps. How about, delete this atrocious video. Thumbs down.

Ps. I noticed you also spilled some soap on the floor as your rubbed the soap all over your grubby mitts. Might want to clean that so nobody slips and hits their head on the sink..

  3. The water can be turned off immediately after washing using elbows (ok, one elbow is enough). Then you can take your time to dry your hands with a paper towel and dispose it. This method doesn't only prevent water waste, but gives more time to the colleagues that are waiting to wash their hands – which they can now do while you dry your hands. In my opinion, turning off faucet with paper towel increases the probability of hand contamination, as fingers can touch the faucet by accident, if the towel is not covering them completely – and this can easily happen. The reason the WHO recommends the practice as above is probably (?) the global prevalence of faucets that cannot be turned off by using elbows. In such cases, of course you have to use a paper towel. But I would not recommend this as a standard practice. Unfortunately, I could not find good evidence in favour of towel or elbow to make a final conclusion. Thus, I am assuming none is really superior, but using your elbow, when the faucet is designed for it, saves water and time and prevents accidental contamination of hands.

  4. Another big problem is the water faucets that have to be pushed on or the ones that have to be pushed down the entire time they are in use, like the ones found in most public schools. This clearly spreads infection. Also, I always clean under my fingernails each time I lather up!
