What happened in Europe and America, that people are angry? Is it the political situation in Europe and America that makes them angry? What is it, that makes citizen angry nowadays? In this documentary VPRO together with Indian writer Pankaj Mishra investigates the reasons for anger and angry citizens in Europe and America.
The Indian writer Pankaj Mishra, was born and raised in India, but since 2006 is living in London. Pankaj Mishra published the book Age of Anger: A History of the Present in 2017. In Age of Anger, he tries to indicate where the ‘wave of paranoid hatred’, as he calls it, comes from. Against whom that anger is directed and where it has led to during the last decades.
Anger. A word that often does the rounds in the 21st century. The anger of the lone wolf and anger of nationalists. Anger, fueled by Trump, Brexit, IS, Catalan separatists and even the Hindu supremacy in India. Pankaj Mishra tries to explain this phenomenon. Where does that anger come from and how can it lead to something good?
With the gaze of a relative outsider, Mishra observes the deep identity crisis that the United Kingdom has fallen into since Brexit. A country that is still divided by large class antagonisms and has been unable to distance itself from its colonial past. A country where the political elite has become estranged from its electorate and where xenophobia seems to be experiencing a new revival.
Mishra shows the contradictions between the British elite and the migrant community. On the one hand, the British elite, who clung to their past with all their might: imagined in the financial heart of London, the City, where the new Lord Mayor of London is inaugurated each year in a procession with a lot of ceremonial display. And the pressurized migrant community that lives in social housing alongside expensive real estate projects in the very prosperous Kensington district. A neighborhood where last summer the disastrous fire in the Grenfell Tower took place with at least 71 fatalities. The protesting survivors of the conflagration now use their anger to enforce their position. How could they, in the eyes of Pankaj Mishra, ensure that this anger leads to something good?

People become angry when they are blamed for everything wrong in society and are demonized when they try to report what they actually witness – what is really to blame!
Because the globalist Bilderburg attendees are destroying our national, ethnic, and yes even racial identities, that are our ancient history. Some are already holding a torch in one hand, and a pitchfork in the other. As the the tide turns from a low spread out waive, that it is now, to the tsunami that it becomes once it is focused. Because they think that another war will distract the world, as they slip away and hide. How can you hide, when your right hand man is well aware?. The truth is I am no one, but the danger is standing right next to each and every one of them. Because humanity as a whole knows who the parasites are, news spreads faster by word of mouth, than by fake news. And we can all feel the elites draining our blood, sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively. Yet they doubt all of this, the elites think that their inbred genes are superior, and destined to rule, but it is far from the truth. They doubt us, because of their arrogant egos, and underestimate their enemy that are or were their subjects. Even as it had already been proven by the mass whistle blower crowd, that had already exposed more than is required, to turn the tide against them. Face it. Everybody knows what they are up to, and we know who they are. They thought that they would get away with it, but the truth is, their day's are numbered. There had never been this level of distrust throughout history, of the parasitic oligarchs, and there are countless already standing up. The cusp of when people collectively spring into action is quickly approaching, and they are desperately trying to turn us against each other, as they had done in the past. Divide and conquer, is a worn out premise. The difference is, popular support of the obvious. The elite globalists and even their secret society minions have no where to turn, because the truth is out there, like the sun that exposes their secrets. These people are not doers, they are dictators, and people do not have to listen. Some still do, but they are weak minded, dwindling fast, and are only a threat to themselves. This is who the elites depend on, and that is as weak as their inbred intellect had become. That is why they fear competition. Very confusing themes; mixing the Grenfell disaster with hypothetical British imperial history. The message seems to be that Brussels represents better governance. The Indian commentator completely misses the Brexit pro-democracy points, and he is bought and paid for. Mishra's father was a trades unionist. I wonder when the EU will actually have an approved annual audit to account for all of the money taken by Brussels?

1. The video does not explain why people from completely foreign and incompatible cultures choose to immigrate to England in particular, especially given their negative sentiment about England which they claim to be their historical oppressor.
2. The video claims that Margaret Thatcher imported ideas that were strictly “American” like classical liberalism which extends to free economy and privatization and deregulation of the industry. However, the classical liberal ideas against government intervention actually originated in England itself (hint: John Locke).
3. The man in the video who disapproves of Brexit does not explain why he disapproves of this decision in objective terms, but instead he mentions his fears about the voters themselves, who are in-fact the native population of England.
4. The man who calls out Islamophobia among the English people ignores the reason behind this phenomena, and does not mention any clues about why the native English population developed such sense of distrust toward Islam in particular (hint: Sharia law).
5. The video features exclusively ethnic minorities in England, but not ordinary Englishmen, especially young middle class white men who struggle with their lack of national identity and the cultural degeneracy of modern day England.

First, they conquer a people, tell them they are inferior. The conquered come to agree and adopt the conquerors culture and become apart of it (as was demanded of them), then when they aspire to succeed, they are vilified by the same who brought them into the fold. When I typed "angry Americans" I didn't expect this to pop up, but it is interesting to contemplate what loss of power means. This is especially true as the US faces off with China over fair trade. As long as the US perceived that it was running the show, everything was fine, but the backlash over loss of manufacturing jobs has come home to roost and politicians have to find a monster in China.

To put it clearly to any non-British, no one under the age of 40 in the UK gives a fuck about the loss of the empire. Of course, we know about the empire, but most of the population were not alive when the empire was around, so what do we have to grieve about? I cannot recall a time where I've spoken to another British person around my age about the empire. The only people who seem to be concerned about the empire and ask questions are non-British people, particularly Indians who still have some weird complex about the empire and their identity. Most British people are concerned about building a better society in Britain, not world power and empire.
