2. Two weeks later and several hundred deaths in Italy with the 10,000 cases reported likely to be the tip of the iceberg. Venice is empty! Cases elsewhere in Europe are increasing rapidly. Not looking good for cruises in the spring and summer at the moment.

4. I am due to travel with Cunard at the end of March. Cunard will not offer the opportunity to defer. They say we will lose 75 per cent. The risks are not the ports we will be visiting but getting on the boat with someone who is already affected. They said temperatures will be taken before boarding. This is worse than useless. People are asymptomatic for two weeks. It will spread like wildfire on a liner.

5. Thanks for posting this. I had a cruise of the Med booked for the 1st week of June, but pulled out a couple of days ago, as the deadline for paying the balance had arrived. As infection rates rise, there's bound to be passengers with the virus, so ports will refuse to allow ships to dock. It was annoying to lose the deposit, but the thought of being stuck in quarantine for a couple of weeks made it a simple decision.

17. Unfortunately this virus is being way overblown. The numbers for corona are way less than any year of the flu and no more deadly.

19. I have a cruise booked from Dublin to Iceland/UK for July 2020 – now that the virus is in these countries I'm getting worried …. really hope it's all over and done with by then. I've been looking forward to this cruise for such a long time.

20. i understand the overcrowding, pollution problem, but i dont think limiting tourists to super rich who can buy out louis vuitton, ferragamo, gucci, and similar stores are really necessarily the ideal tourists you want in your country either, yes good for economy but how about low income people like myself who are willing to take train, stay in dormitory or hostels, pensions, soba, eat from groceries and or cafeterias rather than fancy dining, and use our money on concerts, operas, ballets, art galleries, museums, palaces, ancient ruins. and us who are willing to work long hard over time hours to afford a basic trip to europe, backpacking, train hopping. learning languages too.

24. you must do venice, milano, rome, florence on most cruises, trains, bus tours.

25. the main thing is cruise passengers should never be quarantined on ship. the whole no borders thing is stupid, …. you cannot avoid planes, … italy is guaranteed , mediterranean you cannot avoid crossing at least one port in italy … northern europe might be still doable.

31. Two big ships were affected in these weeks but who can say how many hundreds cruises same days were in perfect health over the seas? If unfortunately one plane crashed down, how many planes flied normally? If now you're worried of Europe, stay home and postpone your cruise to enjoy Europe at the best with any anguish.

32. Oh my that's really scary. We have a scheduled Mediterranean cruise on October and the good thing the deposit is refundable and payment is not due until July so we're just watching how things will unfold. Praying and hoping for the best 🙏!

35. I have 2 x cruises in the Med in July…. a little fear mongering is not going to change our minds. Of course on the other hand if the cruise line cancels then I guess I won't have any choice.

I know you posted some days ago but it is well and truly world wide and likely has been for some time – the platform for the spread is not that of individual countries but that of the movements of the respective populations between countries which then has the effect of spreading the disease randomly. We are Aussies and have a B2B booked (MSC & RCI) commencing from Italy late October ending up in Miami USA and have the entirety of the trip paid for, cruise, accommodation, flights etc – but quite simply if we are not comfortable with the situation we simply wont go – life over price in these instances at all times. I own my own insurance investigation business for the past 30 years and make no mistake if the issues continue a lot of this who think they are insured might sadly get a rude shock. It would never happen for several reasons but for the wellbeing of the population in general anything other than travel of an urgent nature by any means should be suspended – as I said its not practical on many fronts but this wont be ending any time soon. Love your videos by the way , very informative.

38. My family booked a 10 day Royal Carribean Mediterranean Cruise (booked & paid for from last year). We are set to sail on May 7, 2020 ….sailing out of Italy!!! Unfortunately, I did not purchase insurance. With Hotel and flights, I'm on the hook for 10,000+. I am worried sick about these developments and not getting any definitive answers from RC. Anyone have any suggestions?

41. The residents of Venice were complaining about the cruise ships and wanting to ban them. Now we'll see just how much 'better' life is going to be for them w/o that extra money coming in. "Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it."

43. We are scheduled to cruise in June, leaving Venice throughout Greece. I spoke with RC last night and they haven't started canceling or changing anything. It does worry me that they aren't acting quicker to give other opinions. I know it's 3 months out but Italy is a level 3 now as of last night (2/28/20) that's enough to start making changes. I also spoke with Luthanse who's not canceling either🤦🏽‍♀️ ..
