Thanks for sharing this. I would like to know if you have some video or do you know a link to configura squid with HTTPS 443 thanks
Nice tutorial. BTW, I suspect that the "ACCEPT all — anywhere anywhere"
you tried to remove in the beginning was only for the loopback interface. You would need to do "iptables -L -v" to see the interface, tho. Another nice thing about '-L -v' is that you can see a counter for the rules being hit.
Amazing tutorials!!! I needed to turn my computer as a router and a DHCP server and this tutorials show exactly how to do that. Thanks!
Use for traffic observation the powerful Traffpro monitoring system.
Great Videos!!!
One side note to your dhcpd.conf file. With certain flavors of dhcp you may need to add "ddns-update-style interim" above your other command for it not to fail on service restart.
Excellent, thank you for that tip. That sounds much better. I will add those commands to the article on my website that goes to this lab.
Hi Dan. Great series. You can (some would say should) give yourself a default deny stance, and only permit explicitly what you want to allow. So iptables -P INPUT DROP should give you a default drop stance on your INPUT table. (you should do all three) Then you might want to replace your reject in the line below with a rule that logs anything that gets that far, and a second explicit drop rule after that. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. I love watching your videos!
