  1. How fast are we moving relative to the speed of light in a vacuum? Since that speed is assumed to be constant wouldn’t all other relative speeds also be constant including zero?

  2. You maybe correct in saying that a hole weighs nothing, BUT you CANNOT say a hole IS nothing. Another way of looking at it is a hole is the perimeter of the material in which the hole was made. In order for it to BE POSSIBLE to have a hole, the whole has to be made out of something. [Capitals letters were used for emphasis]

  3. Hi from the future. The fallacy here is this time period's belief that space is empty. You won't believe how the world changes once dark energy is acknowledged and harnessed.

    Hail Cthulu

  4. Very good! Orbital mechanics failure identified: fake globe earth has an elliptical orbit around the sun and it speeds up and slows down, +/- 2,237 mph so that you accelerate at 6.4 meters per second squared for 6 months and decelerate at that rate for 6 months. Do you think you would feel that? YES! CONCLUSION: Earth is motionless and flat since there is ABSOLUTELY NO CURVE! https://www.smartconversion.com/unit_calculation/Acceleration_calculator.aspx

  5. Actually, I think in Star Trek, they are moving relative to their destination. That's why the helmsman asks for coordinates. Even if the captain says "just fly in that direction" the helmsman will just select a random set destination… If they didn't do this, they'd fly through a star, or, more likely, the helm won't respond to the command and burp out an error.

They can't have a set relative place because it would cause an odd speed variance if you changed direction parallel to that point.

Most likely, though, the computers in Star Trek just take the desination, create plot points to avoid dangerous areas and automatically set the speed requested relative to the next course deviation point, automatically resetting each deviation point to the location, so no matter what, the computer will always be reporting the speed requested with complete automation.

  6. No it's not complicated at all, people like you just like to complicate everything. Simple answers are usually the correct answers and the simple answer here is, I'm not fcking moving!

  7. To know the true velocity of our planet, solar system and galaxy, wouldnt we need to have a stationary point in space? Since there is none, is never known the real velocity. (:
