  2. Question: I tried to buy the whole series, but I cannot find it anywhere for a reasonable price. On amazon the boxset is like 250 euroes or so… why is it so difficult to find this?!

  9. @Vivacuba3 Seems to me Lady Macbeth's society status was pretty well equal to Raquel Toledano's, as they had the same kind of limitations and ambition-checks – they were both aiming for the moon and hampered because, as you said, their gender limited the amount of power they had. And, honestly, how much different is it for Raqauel to want to be the wife of the most powerful man in California as for Lady M. to want to be a queen? Same goal, different methods, different outcomes. Make sense?

  10. @musicalqueen101 I don't know – she acts like a viper, but she admitted last episode she just wants great things for her husband – and as a bonus, become the wife of a great man. Problem is, Lady Macbeth wanted the same things. I guess the difference is, Señora Toledano repented of what she did; Lady Macbeth, as I recall, committed suicide. (Yes, I was an English major in college. Shakespeare was required reading.)
