1. I have so much respect for you for not assuming that banning slaughter for food is necessary. It's sad that it has to happen, but at the end of the day, they're not wanted as pets, but as food. Even though I don't think people should enjoy horse meat, I believe it's better than having emaciated and homeless horses wandering around the place everywhere. I support slaughterhouses in theory, but I hate in every way the way they handle their livestock and that they look for cheap costs above animal wellness. Is it really so hard to give them some space an adequate rest/environment? This goes to not only horses, but to any other animal that humans get meat from – including dairy cows, chickens, and pigs. I don't think stopping all meat is the answer, and everyone going vegan isn't the answer, either, but regulations for animal wellness most likely is, I would think

2. I'm proud to be vegetarian! Anyone with a soul would find this an easy choice. I stopped in my 20s, over 30 years ago, and the smell and sight of meat revolts me, and it breaks my heart that humans do not stop the disgusting and unnecessary desire to slaughter animals.

3. Horse's are as much s friend as fogs & cats, as well as many wild animals are when tamed. Horses are not meant to be eaten by anything! And NO animal should be allowed to suffer!
