  1. To be honest, it’s super easy to hack someone camera stuff like that, there have something call Shodan and google dork from the Internet, you can literally do what the hacker doing from this video with using this 2 things, the reason why I’m telling this is because i want to show u guy know those hacker u hear from the news like hacking computer or send phishing link to steal people password, they’re noob hackers or we call those hackers to ( script boy ) because real hackers they never do those stupid things

  2. Most of the people with the money to buy these systems were born before the internet existed. Using the same passwords across multiple platforms is unwise. In today’s market Ring and other such companies should anticipate a certain level of ignorance from their consumers. This isn’t to say they should be liable for it.

  3. I'm sorry but am I the only one who realizes all these 'hackers' did was brute Force into weak accounts? Come on people just use 2 factor authentication or a password better than 1234. I proudly use ring cameras knowing that not a single ring camera in the world has been reported as truly hacked into, only weak accounts.

In other words this is USER ERROR

  4. If a grown person has to be told that ALL technology can be hacked regardless of safety features, then humanity is trouble. Americans are extremely naive. That lawsuit will get thrown out in a heartbeat.

  5. Amazon tries the "You're holding it wrong" lame excuse that just makes people even angrier that they didn't implement simple security structures like 2 factor authentication or notification that a new device has logged in. Because if they did that people might think twice about buying Ring cams once they think more about hacking.

  6. Amazon is hilarious! Many of my accounts have 2 factor authentication and send me a text and/or email when a new user logs in from an unknown IP address. Password management is also well done on most account. What's more important? Your email account or the account that controls the cameras inside your house that let strangers see and speak with your wife and children? A phone or laptop should need to be verified ON THE HOME NETWORK with 2 factor authentication and notification to the primary account holder that a new device has been authorized. And if you're thinking about that "2 factor hacked" article, not really. Its not something someone is going to be able to do 100% remotely.
