3. This one was bad but look up Carl Edwards crash from a few years ago, he spiraled into the cage and continued to flip, then got out and jogged across the finish line

11. I believe that the Newman car, the tip of the car barely hit the wall & made the car spin, was the only thing that saved him. I think 99 times out of 100, in that type of wreck, that he would've been killed. He missed death by inches, because the tip of the car by inches barely hit the wall & put him in a spin. If the tip of the car hadn't hit the wall, the car would've stopped suddenly on the wall on the drivers side or hit headlong into the wall in an instant stop. When a car stops, the driver is dead. The tip of the car put it in a spin. When he was in the air , a car sped up under him. If that car had slowed down, when he came back to the ground, that could've killed him. It was a miracle that he survived.

14. there should be no qestions about safety here. this was the worst case scenario crash and he survived, what questions are there? seriously ive never seen an accident like that, flipped over and hit in the driver side by a car going 100+ easy and he survived! the car did its job

17. I don’t know who’s worse, the sports columnist quoted at the end or the reporter for quoting him. Speed restrictions cause the vehicles to cluster up, so they’ll continue to have these types of problems. (Not exact quote, but close enough). Horrible logic! Without speed restrictions, they’ll still be clustered up, it’ll just be at faster speeds.

    Racing should NOT include combat. Play it like Formula 1 does … run as fast as you can, but leave the other cars alone.
