I feel the content creators are at fault partially and YouTube is if they explicitly say “no this is fine we’ll keep it up”
The responsibility lies on all three parties, the platform, the channel showing the video, as well as the viewer. The platform needs to be careful with what it allows to be uploaded, the content creator needs be careful what he or she places out there for the public to find/imitate, and the viewer needs to be careful in what they are consuming media wise.
I remember when just using a knife not even fire in any tutorials required an age restriction or to mention that to you need an adult with you now we're at this 😰😰😰
Actually i do that a lot before, put toothpaste on a light burn skin, it doesn't ease the pain it just prevent the skin to get swollen… Anyway it is not right tho
For the issue of the harmful videos of who is at fault, I believe it is a combination of the creators fault and the platform's fault. The creator is at fault for spreading harmful information and for NOT taking the time to actually find out what their core audience is made of. It is the fault of the platform also for allowing this informa to be spread and for not taking some time to see if it could lead to dangerous consequences. That is all from me.
Lavender oil is also good for burns
My brother Was burned as a child down his stomach
Putting lavender on it healed it amazingly
Kids don't think. If you post vids that kids have access to then you really do need to treat your audience like morons; just so you're not held accountable for death in any way. Why the hell do you think American programmes/shows are all aimed at viewers with 100% dipshit intelligence? Exactly! Money, money, money! Easy money and without the slightest bit of necessity to actually make anything of worthwhile interest.
Those poor girls what an awful thing to happen.
My questions is how do they even film some of these when they're clearly don't work? For example the melting the caramel sweet in the pan, how come they were able to fake that when it should have burned?
Ok I'm an adult and even I didn't know about the alcohol bottle stuff
Honestly I think people could use more common sense when trying these things out. Like ACTUALLY THINK about what they're going to do instead of blindly following a video. A lot of injuries could be avoided if people did some research and used their brains first.
It's ultimately the creators fault however if I report it to YouTube and they don't do anything about it, the YouTube is also responsible
For the second hack, there’s a cooking Chanel on YouTube owned by a Japanese guy who shows how to cook Japanese dishes, he is really sweet and friendly and he shows how to do the second jack in a much safer way by dipping a fork in caramel and shakes in on top of baking paper. I can’t explain this well so check it out his channel is named Jun’s Kitchen
The strewberry supposed to a science project, not to eat….
I got alcohol burnt almost caused a fire…. Scaryyyy
The thumbnail makes me uncomfortable
platform and content creator are at morally at fault for not giving warnings… legally, that's another story
Platform should take some flack
It took you 6 min to start the video WTF
10:49 oh gosh here in my country Indonesia people are actually doing this whenever they get burned
even my cousins said that it cools the wound and make it less hurt.
Content creators should be required to post warnings & be held liable if they don’t
I have a question. If I made a video assembling and shooting a gun, and a kid watches that and says "my dad has a gun, I'll use that!" And ends up shooting a family member, is that my fault? Or is it the parents fault for letting their kid watch these videos and having a gun available? It's the same thing with the alcohol lamp. Where were her parents? Why didnt they stop this before it got out of hand?
Those poor girls, and Ms.Yee, it's clearly not her fault and she's payed compensation for the girls. I can imagine how this is tearing her apart.
Shes not guilty that the girls werent educated enough not to play with flame and fuel… better question – where were the parents?
All four are responsible
Even though I don’t know these girls personally, seeing these young children dying hurts my heart. I wish I could just go back in time to steer them clear of this experiment. If YouTube really is dedicated to making content safer for children, they need to filter out content like this in addition to the inappropriate content they already cut out. Thank you Ann for bringing awareness to these videos.
I believe the parents of the 12 year old girl(s) should’ve been supervised, then the tragic accident wouldn’t had happened.
I think the fault is mostly of the content creator. Even if their recipes work, they might work under certain specific circumstances which they don't show on the video. They show a really fast and unclear process and expect people without knowledge to figure out exactly what to do.
A naked breast is forbidden.
Strawberries in chloride is ok.
When there are perfectly fine pop corn maker for 15 dollars at any walk in store, I can never understand why people can be so stupid to try something like soda can pop corn maker. There are more important things in life than wasting your time like that. JC.
