You gotta love this channel. The Amount of work they put into this video is insane. Honestly, you should have even more subs and views than you already have. Thanks for the amazing videos and being able to teach me how the middle ages better than me teachers 😉
Nobody ever goes over European history immediately after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. You have so many important things like the Visigoths and Ostrogoths, Franks and their subsequent splitting that arguably has been the boundary between warring countries in Europe for centuries. Also, Vikings? Their intrusions onto Frankish, Anglo-Saxxon and even Italian kingdoms shaped those regions massively. Ever heard of Normandy? Yeah, that was Viking lands. What about the effects of the Caliphates on the Iberian Peninsula? Sooooooo much happened in this time as the "barbarians" the Roman's constantly ruled over in Gaul and Germanium actually created the nations we are familiar with today
I dont get how teachers teach stuff when they wernt even born it doesn't make sense so it means were hearing the same thing but they need to spice it up make it more fun like my teacher he has fun curriculum planned for us
imagine losing half of your community to a pandemic… me panicking about what corona could become 😰
Why start in the medieval period why not start when humans migrated to Europe
Now I remember, the interregnum began in 476, the middle ages began I think in 526, in Austria, and ended in 1486. Each time, an angel arrived to announce a new era.

Can we get African, Chinese, Indian, and South American history classes, too? It's sad that John Green is starting to get older after these, what, six, seven years, but I'm glad he's back. This is an important topic that I can't believe came after Crash Course A.I. Also, did anyone notice that John isn't in the Crash Course Channel Preview?
Guarro
imagine not wanting to wash.
this was made by the 3rd world gang
In ancient empires I’m learning about this and I’ve found it extremely interesting
He didn't even mention how the creation of local fiefdoms across Western Europe, and various agricultural advancements led to the modernizing revolution that was the High Middle Ages (1000-1340)
I love your channel and your work. However, even though I don’t want to claim that I have better knowledge of history than you, I believe that the emperor of Byzantium in 1453 (Constantin) dies after marching into combat with Ottoman soldiers who breached the gates. Well he might be as well beheaded when killed but not as a Sultanete order but more of an action of the soldiers.
Imagine the anxiety and panic attacks these poor souls had during this time!
so… you have an exam tomorrow i see
8:00 not that huge swaths of kingdoms were under control of church since many people would give some land to the church in their will for religious favor.

"The East–West Schism, also called the Great Schism and the Schism of 1054, was the break of communion between what are now the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodox Churches, which had lasted until the 11th century. "
"The Western Schism, also called Papal Schism, Great Occidental Schism and Schism of 1378"
