I started ruminated thoughts while watching this video.
It's so surprising that this applies to other aspects of our life as well, not just work
The perception of rumination is quite exact but how to switch off from work mode is really tough
One time I couldn't sleep there was just so many things I had to plan and coordinate for the next few days, so I just got up from bed and brain dumped all that on to a piece of paper, things to do, people to talk to etc. And then went back to sleep, knowing I wouldn't forget anything when I woke up.
Our mind is always contemplate with millions stuff, sometimes I do wonder do we need to rest? Or do our mind rest during sleeping ? Here seems like giving me an explanation about it
I think if you set boundaries your employers will respect you more.

This is good for ruminating about work, but what about ruminating about non-work problems? Ones that can't be solved with simple problem solving?

took 8 minutes to start tips on not dwelling on work. Yet its things we have all considered. A waste of time…..
Very Well Spoken with hints of some smart humor. I truly believe turning off work was invented long long time ago with the first BAR ROOM. You stopped for a couple after work unwinded and then came home happy to your wonderful partner who had a nice meal ready for you and a few more cold ones. You relaxed in your favorite chair watched a good show, read the paper, played with the kids and off to bed. Today it’s the internet, emails, that intensify the on going battle of working while you left the office for the day. I close my business at 2pm but my brain NEVER shuts off work. I am on Sleeping aids for years, Prilosec for 25 years and you get the idea. My employees use to care for the first 25 years in business and the last 8 years I am a adult baby sister and teacher every minute saying the same things everyday. It’s not just the young either. We have a stick no cell policy but they have smart watches and you know, hiding around corners to get those important texts in while guests wait. Then again, I ask my help sometimes. Does this job interfere with your personal life? You want to keep making $175 a day for 6 hours 8-2pm and you can’t keep it together for 6 hours. They wake up on my time. Yawning and making coffee and 20 minutes in the bathroom when they come in late. When I say anything they call it YELLING. It’s no longer fun to have a business that includes trying to also provide jobs for many easy hours and I feed them everyday. Thank Them everyday.

None of you truly have human consciousness. You are all the biology of the human without the mind/soul/consciousness of the human. Humans are deprived of the true full spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals that would enable them to operate at a higher capacity. In a poison free environment and at higher levels of nutrition your five senses would be heightened and you would obtain new sensory perceptions that currently lay dormant do to poisons and malnutrition. The length of your life span would increase significantly and you would show no signs of aging. Your bodies natural bioelectric energy field would become healthier and your sense of being more blissful.
What I've posted has the highest probability of being true more than any other information in circulation. You all have micro animals binded to your DNA that feed off of your bioelectric energies and the so called foods you put in your bodies. You are not in control. This video was helpful for being aware of stress & burnout. I really appreciate the tips for putting up "guardrails" and sticking to them, and turning ruminations into productive thoughts. Very helpful for the profession I'm going into!
i work from my bed, im fucked.
1. Schedule time to work, and stick to it. If you really need to, change your schedule. No e-mail checking outside work hours, no phone calls, etc.
2. Ritualize your transition from work to home. Change your clothes, have a designated work area, different lighting, scents, etc.
3. Catch and transform ruminative thoughts as they occur by scheduling a time to deal with them. If you can't schedule it right away, pick a time when you will look at your schedule.
It's the people at work that is stressful!
Good thing I don't have a job.
Just knowing someone else struggles with what I struggle with is a more than good enough reason why I listen to these types of Ted talks. ❤️🧡💛💚💙

It feels so close to me. Half a year ago I moved to another country to study at university. While being there, I was texting to my former classmates and I chatted a lot with a really nice girl. A few months later, and I realized I loved her and she loves me too. In my holidays I got the chance to come back to the country when I was studying before to meet her. When I came to her, we talked a lot, but we were talking about some simple things. And I was constantly thinking: "What are we talking about? This doesn't make any sense! We don't have that much time!" So I was ruminating for almost all the time and was worrying and that led me after the meeting to the worst panic attack of my life, and I've never felt so bad. Now I realize that I was ruminating for about the whole conversation and actually calmly spoke for about half an hour. Now I feel that it made no sense and I had to talk more than to think about what we were talking because, in the end, it turned out that I was so worried about the time, that I was losing that time I could spend on actually talking. When I meet her again, I won't repeat this mistake and will go with the flow.
