3. I believe the Vessel is a perfect embodiment of the surrounding Hudson Yards: a testament of billionaires' hubris with no concern for the fabric of the city that aimed for artistic and innovative but is just senseless and rather pointless.

6. The whole project is just Dubai on the Hudson, but I can't really hate it – I mean it was just a train yard before, it's not like it replaced a vibrant neighborhood. I'll probably never bother to go there, since there's so many things in New York that are way more interesting, but hey, if the 1% and their aspiring hangers-on want to go play on top of a train yard, why not?

7. It really is a wonderful piece of design and architecture. It feels almost very much like a near honeycone shape. Now that I would definitely like to see built, but with a nice seating area inside each pod as you get to observe the entire environment around you, be it in the countryside or the city.

9. Spires are like padding in a bra, might look good, might boost some egos, but doesn’t count.

10. It looks like a big bug, especially with the brown cladding, which is appropriate since NY is full of cockroaches and bedbugs. And for those that don’t live in NY, Hudson Yards being that close to the Hudson River will be scourged by the icy winds blasting off the water. It feels like your cheeks are being sliced by razor blades 5 months of the year. I hope the billionaires have fun putting up with that.

12. I like it, a open space that gets you elevated and gives you a nice view

13. I like it what I don’t like is you have to buy tickets. I personally see it as a large art piece a sculpture if you will. And as such it should be free to the public.

14. I saw that thing whenever I went up on the high line or Westside highway. I always wondered "why the fuck is there a building made out of stair cases over there?" never really knew what it was.

    .. the Vessel itself engineering wise is amazing., construction-wise amazing. visually meh – I would've added green space for each terrace either on the inside (or outside).
    Glad that people wanting to jump now have the option to splash on concrete in addition to the popular water option 😀

24. It would have been more useful if the stairs were interconnected across and had space for performances, play areas or at least a garden.

    Instead it's just a structure that's not even that good to look at or from.
