We have a full guide on ginger out now: https://www.epicgardening.com/ginger-plant/
Hi hihi almighty plant I love it . Subscribe back To back .. will be glad stay touch
Oy! What are you doing with that loquat dried?
Can I sun dry the ginger instead !?
This video is awesome I like it
I would have liked seeing you harvest the ginger root. Otherwise thanks for the information, well done!
Tip for anyone trying to get powders etc into jars and such… cut the top off a soda/pop bottle for a wide-mouthed funnel. Perfect for when you're filling a pepper mill with peppercorns also.
Oh, and I use a half inch paintbrush (for food only) to get my spice-blitzer clean… better than scraping the contents out… I can't wash mine as it's just a single thing.
#ThankYou🙌👍🙌👍👍👍
I love how there's now just a whole bunch of people doing primeval things like growing ginger or baking sourdough bread because of quarantine. We get so carried away by our jobs and modern lives that we forget what our ancestors enjoyed doing.
Yeah I got some ginger at Walmart about 3 years ago. Planted it in like a 10 gallon planter, it shoots like crazy in the summer if you water it almost every day but the roots don't grow that fast.
And I take it indoors in the winter and put one LED grow light on it and it stays pretty much sprouted for a couple months, it doesn't grow any new sprouts until spring rolls around.
It'll start sprouting a couple months before I put it out.
But I've read that they don't take much fertilizer, so I never have.
I harvested a couple roots off of it but doesn't really grow fast enough to make it usable
And I was going to make a rectangle type planter since it does grow in a straight row
My rabbit loves it when I bring it indoors, she hides in it and then eats the shoots in the spring.
It's fun to watch grow
And it tastes on average the same as you buy in the store.
I've been thinking about making a plastic curtain around it when I bring it indoors.
But I think it's more work than it needs, it dies in the winter indoors and sprouts in the spring…
Thank for the awesome information.
That's good..thanks
how do you tell if the ginger that you by in the supermarket is viable? i live in new york city when is the best time to plant and how deep you plant the ginger?
I live in an apartment and have a balcony. How would I store that piece you were talking about over the winter? I live in NC if that helps.
Great video. Excellent explanation.
All intents AND purposes…. love it. NOW I know
Thank you so much for this!!
Can you use ginger that has gotten old and make powder out of it?
Wow.. must have this ..
Will this concept work well in a grow bag too?
Great Idea! Can you please tell us what kind of wood that cutting board is made out of? Did you make it yourself? I LOVE IT!!

How to grow Old Ginger? Because it is more spicy, thanks very much for your teaching. 🙏🙏
Do you have holes underneath the pot for drainage? Can I grow in Autumn? Because it is Autumn in Australia now. Ginger is very expensive here, thanks so much for your demonstration. 🙏👍🌹
Great!👌👌Thank you for sharing🤗🤗
Too much talk.
I do listen to my plants, and I see them when they start to change color, but I can't figure out what's wrong with them LOL Anyway, thanks for the tips, I wanted to start on some gingers because they dry out faster than I can eat, and what's a better way to keep food fresh than keeping it alive. I came to realize that when I was out of space in the fridge for my scallions. I thought it got roots, I got a garden… HMMMM
Do ginger produce seeds??
Your video I like it and I`m from Vancouver Canada area I start my organic(Peru) ginger and no organic ginger about 2 months ago in my leaving room. There all growing .I really have patience and I was waiting for you to make this video.Thank you,you give us more tips and tricks. I really appreciate again thank you 😉
Great Video
I'm so into gardening right now! 🌱💚
Great vid. So interesting, easy to follow and well presented. Keep on going 🙂
Thanks for saying intents and purposes correctly
Please don't use the term Mother Nature. It's actually God the Creator who designed it that way.
I gave you a thumbs up for saying "Intents and purposes" since most morons say "intensive purposes"
Thanks for this!
Here is the complete video of growing Ginger with Harvest. Guy spent 9 months filming the growth, you do not get much harvest from container grown ginger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_qPpjlRdLY
