  9. What's the point of making hand sanitizer if you already have a rubbing isopropyl alcohol as an ingredient needed for making hand sanitizer?

    Edit: Also I am even out of rubbing isopropyl alcohol too. 😕

  10. So he said CDC says it should be at least 60%, then he goes on to say it should be in the 90% range. So I have a 70% alcohol bottle, will that work with the same ratio or is there a different ratio to use with different percentages?

  15. With over 3M views, there might be thousands out there following this recipe WHICH IS INCORRECT AND WILL NOT WORK. Unfortunately, saying "alcohol" isn't helpful as the % required to work depends on whether it's ethyl or isopropyl alcohol (the 2 most common types you can buy). This video says "at least 60%" "alcohol", but that is correct only for ethyl alcohol, INCORRECT FOR THE ALCOHOL SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO (which is isopropyl alcohol). IT MUST BE HIGHER. I know RR is trying to help with a video, because reading the WHO recipe may still be too hard for folks. But the fact is, it still might be better to show the WHO recipe and help people go step by step thru the preparation. And unfortunately as some have noted, you're not likely to find either type of alcohol anyway.
