19. It was appalling for finalists to say that married women or mothers can’t be miss america. Miss America is a college scholarship program. These women who get to compete are traditional age college students who probably have little to no disadvantages compared to thousands of non traditional age students who struggle and can’t even think of going to school because of a lack of access and funding. Why not give those women a chance to earn scholarships to go to school and also empower themselves women can do it all. I thought this organization to empower women. How hypocritical!!!
