I was using ipvanish. I normally get 200mbp/s download speed, sometimes a bit more. With ipvanish it goes down to 30. I spoke with them and learned more about how to use it and got it up to 55 and possibly could have got more. So it's well worth using one to hide what you're doing and stay safe at the same time. As I don't download anything I'm taking my chances without one but I do still have ipvanish should I encounter any problems.
