  1. Finally some mature mind around here. As you can see, too many people become geniouses around here from the comfort of their chair, and suddenly become sages of the world.

  2. I think that they're proud of their home. I think it's really cool that these people aren't afraid to be themselves. That it might not have everything America has, but it's not a problem to them. Where they live is where they want. I don't think it's disparaging to any country.

  3. it's just about how they didn't have the typical 'American dream' but they're still happy and proud to be from where they're from. ("we knew that was something that we never had, but we don't worry"). it shows that this dream might not be all it's cracked up to be and everyone has a chance to b happy no matter where they're from. Maja said numerous times that she loves the US, she even calls LA her second home and has it tattoed.

  4. Because they have no life? Im Swedish and I think the lyrics is kind of juvenile and clue less. All of the things she sings about america in this song exists in Sweden to, in some cases its worse than the US. Sweden fucking invented teenage pornstars……

  5. I'm american and live in america and I endorse this message! haha I hate how overrated america is, other countries forget how cool they are because they are so obsessed with "this place" ugh its shameful

  6. An insult to James Brown? How? The songs are quite the opposite to eachother so if this is an insult to James Brown, isn't James Brown's song an insult to The Sounds?
Btw, this is not a cover, and so both are original.
Personally I prefer this song, not only because I'm not obsessed with the United States but also because this sound is beautiful, the flow i magnificent and the song in general is just splendid!
It cannot even be compared to James Brown's song with the same name.

  7. @jsnfvionw By the "US" stole I mean to say, Americans that in our modern day claim that English is their creation of a language and forget that English did not originate from America. Look into the context that I was replying to, also I made this comment over a year ago as you can see so I was a bit surprised to have someone comment back.

  8. @wepper5 Fuck You! Saabs are the best cars ever built, and I am an American living in America! I've been to Sweden and Finland and the only difference is the women. Most Swedes are arrogant fucks, but their women are insanely sexy!

  9. Uhm they dont hate America. America is supposed to be the so called "paradise" right? So i think its that they dont care if they do not live in the "paradise" "Where not living in america, but where not sorry"

  10. @rgarciajr4 I looooove America, I gonna travel there, and maybe be living there for some years! 😀 it's just such a awesome country, still I'm like this song =)

  11. funny how all these people here are hatin' on america, yet you all speak english and even your stupid band with its horrid song are singing in english. and yes i know english is from england.

why does she have to sing about america anyways?

  12. @tiffany10001 We all love and hate aspects of our own countries. I just think that some people from USA need to stop believing what the media feeds them about being the best of the best (sir) etc…
I'm off to the USA next week, but i'll be glad after 3 weeks to return to the UK.

  13. The language of the US? English is a language of the UK which the US stole to use mainly. This song was not created to say that America is all bad, it's just saying that no not everyone wants to live in the states as so many americans claim, Ive lived in the states and right now I'd rather be stuck in a war in a third world country then move back there. There are so many americans Ive met that think every country apart from america is a thrid world country thats suffering.
