  10. Those who disliked the video and were too quick to negative judge Em’s take on this must not have listened to the song or at least watched the video until the very end. For those who still aren’t getting the theme behind it aside from the controversy, Em is speaking from the perspective of the Mandalay Bay shooter in Las Vegas in order to recreate a vivid image of the situation as a way of advocating gun control. He’s trying to say how the huge drug epidemic in America is a huge factor to gun violence in America and that the mental health epidemic in America is linked to the gun violence in America. He’s encouraging citizens in America to vote in the election so that we can also be aware of these epidemics and remember the shootings in order to remind ourselves that we can make amends to gun laws in America for our sake and our safety.
