  10. The Bill of Rights contains very cherished rights. They are there because they were meant to be highlighted. They were not meant to be ignored or treated carelessly by the government. The founding fathers understood that things may need to change, so they created an amendment process for that.

    What is happening now, is that the government is re-interpreting our rights and side-stepping the amendment process with laws that strip our rights of their power and intent. Our rights were not meant to be re-interpreted because the amendment process was the method for desired change!!!

    I'm not going to argue for either side on this gun issue because I think both sides have at least some reasonable arguments. I'm just pointing out that we should be doing this Constitutionally or not at all! If you don't win the votes, too friggin bad! That's why it exists. You should not get to ignore the Constitution just because you didn't get the outcome you wanted.

Found an adult I knew and she shoo`d him away. Same happened with my sister someone tried to get her and a cousin to come literally help look for a dog and my cousin started to walk towards the vehicle but my sister grabbed her and ran inside and told someone and called the police immediately. They were very young when this happened. What's my point? Training works! People wanna protect their kids but no matter what danger exists so why is training even our young children what to do in dangerous situations sad instead of good life saving skills.

Almost every mass shooting in the last few years that has been perpetrated with “assault weapons” and been covered extensively by the media to push more gun control, almost all of them have taken place in “gun free zones” … And over 2/3 of the shooters where people who obtained said weapons illegally, i.e. didn’t purchase the firearm from a licensed dealer and having to pass a background check, bought them of the streets, or from family members etc. And Columbine happened during the “assault weapons ban” in the 90s, and the shooters still used “assault weapons”. Go figure, someone determined to commit an act violence on a large scale, mass murder, (don’t forget murder is also fuckin illegal) broke all the laws being pushed by the gun control lobby to commit the mass shooting in the first place. Yet the gun control lobby thinks putting more laws in place for LAW ABIDING citizens such as myself, will stop those people from doing a mass shooting. The mental gymnastics behind the gun control movement astounds me to no end. Criminals don’t fucking follow laws!!!! And putting more red tape and bullshit bureaucratic nonsense laws in MY way, won’t stop THEM. You ignorant people. Gun control is not about guns, it’s about control.     I live in a country with as almost as many firearms as the US, Switzerland. We have strict gun laws, and apart from a very high suicide rate, these laws seam to work. Every democratic nation is better off without much firearms, because it only leads to tragedy…

Guynear where I live had been with a local gang along time ago was out shopping with his little boy around the holidays and some kid who remembered him walked up shot acid into his face with a Lucozade bottle. the guys now blind and disfigured and his boy is doubtless traumatised. I don't like to weigh in on the whole gun control debate because I don't feel I know enough about it but I would say is that some people will go to any length to harm our fellow citizens no matter what they have to hand be it a fire arm or not.

You know the pictures where you can see what the most dangerous country's to be living in and where America is on the same level as Irak or Afghanistan and countrys like Kanada and UK.. are the most safe, that is because they all have strict gun laws which means that some idiot who is insane or has a criminal background could never buy a gun in his live and no kid could ever get his hands on a gun because they all have to be locked in a safe at all times and can only be used for hunting or training. There hasn't been a school shooting in UK since over 20 years ago and in Germany the last one was I think was over 60 years ago I think and that was with a flamethrower after WW2 and now only hunting clubs and collectors are allowed to have guns.

I believe guns are needed to protect all of our other freedoms that we enjoy. As progressives we see the lies and corruption within our government. The senseless and endless wars that we are tricked into believing are necessary to protect our country and others from tyrantical governments only to find out through Wikileaks and hacked emails that our government does not have its citizens best interest in mind. If anyone should be fighting for the 2nd amendment it should be progressives because we know how the government lies and betrays us everyday. But instead we are tricked by politicians (globalist) like Mike Bloomberg that want to disarm America so that we cannot stand up against them. That time may not be today or tomorrow but it will come some day. Will it be us, our children or grandchildren? Regardless of when or if this happens, keeping America armed is the best way to make sure it NEVER happens. I understand gun violence and school shooting are horrific acts that affect all of us. As a former police officer I can tell you criminal will use what ever means possible to harm or kill other if that is their intent.By making guns illegal or difficult to acquire by law abiding citizens you only strengthen the criminal and weaken everyone else. Pass all the laws you want criminal do not follow the law. Ask people living in countries like Mexico where guns are almost impossible to buy. The cartel that is killing people and law enforcement isn't going to their local gun store to purchase them. The solution to all this violence is a healthy, well educated, prosperous society that is flourishing.Something that politicians like Bernie are offering. Our current society that keeps the money at the top and all of us left fighting for the crumbs that fall from the table of the rich is the perfect recipe for violence. The larger the economic gap gets the more violent and desperate people will become the more gun control bills the rich elite class will trick us into voting for. Open your eyes and stop listening to the people trying to keep us down and stand for the one right that protects all of our other rights today, tomorrow and into the future.
