Top Five Regrets of the Dying:
1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I hadn't worked so much.
3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my family & friends
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Everyone wants to be rich but only few will do what it takes
Sadly, the situation in the USA is the same.
The 'wealthy' are such caricatures. Grim existence.
If it were up to me private schools would be illegal. Property taxes wouldn’t pay for the local school district, they would go to a state education budget then be distributed to districts based on the number of students.
Study how rich got richer, how Taft and out emotions those are how theirs children develops for being non human being how parents teach them became a royal in business …..but….with no kind and any excuse for others, just produce money, more money, more helicopters, more mantion more cars
…etc etc….world is getting worse….this is conditional hedonistic life style….do they are happy?….yes they are in own way, they are owners of things but not real beauty sense of life…..we are on Earth for a while….just remember and there is nothing we can enjoy in our grave….

30:00. Education and training is the key to flexibility in life.
It must be such a burden wanting to send your kinds to boarding school so you cant show off your excessive wealth everyday.
What about his wife….so Monday to Friday he is shagging the secretary and the wife gets bored at home….I guess I know what she gets up to.
The middle class is also suffering, not only the poorer. So many middle and upper income people have lost their jobs (mostly Accounting, IT, HR, Photography, etc) to outsourcing agreements where their jobs are now performed by those in 3rd World Nations.
No one can compete with their super low salaries!!! Do a documentary on that please! I know so many who’s wages now are lower than in the late 1990s as their careers have disappeared. It’s treason on all of us by politicians.
Why are immigrants being allowed to go to Germany and receive benefits when they keep telling us that diversity is a strength?
doing a thank you dance and getting totally ignored. Almost as good as the wife thinking her interior decorating business supported by her husbands business, means she's making it happen all on her own.
the worst is middle class
On one's death bed no one thinks pity i did not spend more time working.
I live on the wrong side of the tracks, so social breakdown and the rich getting lynched appeals to me. Lovely idea, but it's never happened in history, so why now? More likely a surveilance society will keep us poor well under control in some way. Plus the rich probably have escape plans and properties in New Zealand if it does kick off. I live in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, in case the police want to prosecute me for incitement or what ever.
I only send my children to private school for security reaso
So funny to watch rich people parading themselves.I am born in rich family but totally live different lifestyle. We as a family have to do charity work we have feed poor people daily in our house ,give job yo poor.built houses for poor .and give education to poor. This rich people seem showing off how powerful they are.I feel ashamed to watch such programs.
How rich must one be? Sure he works a great deal and has responsibilities, but no one forces him to do so. Can he not be content with a few million? Can he not take his talent in a new direction that doesn’t just involve overpriced shoebox apartments? I have always respected people who get to a point, prove what they need to themselves and walk away. Sad part is how a family and kids are a byproduct. What’s all the millions worth when you’re a stranger to your own children?
As for DW excellent documentaries, informative without investing on flash or superficiality. To the point and candid. I thought BBC was ace in docs, but no longer. Keep up the good work DW.

I think we are all in the same page, some of us express it differently but agree with this video. This is happening worldwide. One of the professor mentioned that this is a worldwide problem and growing. So many ways to prepare the next generation to avoid this but I have to admit that as a parent, it easy very hard. The rich and politicians makes it even harder.
Holy crap this dude is a total sociopath. Fails to father his children in the interest of making MOOOORRRREEEEE money.
So who would rather spend time with the Siemens engineer? or with the delightful Mr Money?
That billionaire and the secretary are totally getting it on!
We need world revolution of working class!
Interesting society? Everyone is equally unequal. People start out equal with nothing basically and end up as unequal people?
On the surface of society nobody stands out as uniquely different or unequal from the rest unless they do something to stand out; otherwise, we are all the same, yet, beneath that sameness we are divided by class, gender, culture, language and work.
In the first part of the documentary, a person's worklife is uninterrupted.
His role as a worker comes before his role as a father to his family. These social roles are incompatible, yet an entire economy is built on the incompatibleness between work and working everyday.
Why would a society not eliminate the contradiction between work and family and spend all its efforts and talents in maintaining that inequality?
Western societies, I would say eastern societies as well are not immune to this paradox, are all screwed up over this contradiction and their governments show no interest in balancing the intensity and duration of work in society because capital has an interest in prolonging the intensity and duration of work in society. A man cannot be a father, son, or brother to someone, a husband, a friend, a role model working for capital all the time. At some point, increasing the intensity of work becomes complete inefficiency and what needs to be done is a legal shortening of the workday, and that is a loss to capital. I don't see a choice around this, its either your life and family mean more to you or your life and family are hostage to total ineffficiency of the standard work day routine and mean less to the corporation or whoever you work for.
The rich will always only just pay enough for us to starve comfortably. If they pay us to much we won't want to work so they think.
DW is so great. I loved every bit of this. Detailed and instructive.
A very negative perspective documentary.
It’s nice to know that 2 billion ppl I’m India and Asia have benefited from decisions by German and American politicians. But shouldn’t they take care of their own citizens- the ones who elected them? Rather than foreigners in India and Asia?
I am good, having my own hedge fund for my own money, is best for financial cash flow, then I can do things that I love to do whether or not it brings me financial income
