I live on route 66 in Southern California very high end
I went to upland high school in Upland CA and I can remember in 11th grade English class, which was American Literature, reading the “Grapes of Wrath”. Oftentimes my teacher, who was himself like a character straight out of the book, would leave the classroom door open on hot days. And it was surreal sitting in my desk reading the book that Route 66 played such a strong role in and looking out of my classroom across the school to the edge of the field and seeing cars drive back and forth on Foothill Boulevard which is itself Route 66.

In the Philippines, Route 66 was located 30 miles outside Manila located in Calamba City is a highway named after the decommissioned Route 66 in America which is decline it's road economy following the Interstate Highway System

At 11:28, a guy talks of backpacking for ten months through “Southeast Asia and Europe”. To illustrate those two, we’re treated to an image of the coliseum in Rome for “Europe”, and for “Southeast Asia”, a picture of beautiful Kinkaku-ji temple, which is a famous tourist site in Kyoto, Japan. Which is a bit like showing the CN Tower in Toronto to illustrate someone talking about backpacking in Mexico. Haha! Apart from that, great video!

Never been to US. But always dream to drive from NY to LA. Or atleast from the start of route 66
It was an ok video but I've been disappointed by no mention at all of the "Angel of route 66" who wrote to lawmakers to revive small towns along route 66. He was responsible for turnung route 66 into historic route 66.
