    Earth's heat radiates out much more easily as one can feel on a night of cloudless sky where temperature plummet as does Mercury's heat radiate much more due to it's thin atmosphere.

    It is the water vapor that keeps the earth warm when there is no sunlight or low sunlight at the equators.

    The temperature on Mars which is 52% further away than earth from the sun and has a thin atmosphere is as low as -243 F but the average is about minus 80 F . The factor of being further way from the sun is critical to temperatures on planets.
    The amount of radiation from the sun drop off more according to the square of the distance from it. Not just the percentage that the planets are away from the sun in a straight line.

  17. None of us are perfect. I find myself getting upset when I use ziplock bags, plastic bottles, and anything else I unknowingly put into the earth’s atmosphere. But today I know, and I made the extra effort to do better for just today. I’ll worry about tomorrow if or when it comes because sadly if these global patterns don’t change now then there is no tomorrow, for anyone. As I watch my daughter sleep I can’t help but fear what her future will look like 30 years from now. Al Gore is right, he’s a good man and it’s time we start caring and sharing his message with each other and the world.
