1. This is missing some key nuances, such as the conditions under which MCAS was certified for—it isn’t just a question of the larger engines and their placement. Speed and flap configuration aren’t even mentioned. When it comes to the media, take anything they say related to STEM issues with a grain of salt. Take everything they say with a grain of salt.

2. Obviously the Software was not strong enough to compensate engineering mistakes…..pitty for the dead people, shame on Boing and aviation authorithies releasing such flying scrap.

17. Vox also conveniently leaves out the part that Lion Air and Ethiopian Arlines didn't have the pilots who crashed do any of the manual training. I am in no way defending or blaming anyside but there is blame from all sides of these crashes from the FAA, Boeing, the Operators/The airlines in question (Lion Air and Ethiopian).

22. Pretty shallow analysis, but what do you expect from Vox? The blancolirio channel here on YouTube provides much more factual data on both the technology of MCAS and on Boeing's mishandling of the Max program. Oh, and MCAS is NOT an "anti-stall" system: that's called the "pilot."

34. I was outraged once the second crash took place and started learning about the design flaws, MCAS system basically being hidden, and lack of pilot training on it. I personally never want to sit inside of a 737 Max on the ground or otherwise. And as time passes on more information comes out. This video further illuminates the greed and if it weren’t for some pilots being able to figure out the issue, more crashes would have likely happened. Smh

37. the day after Lion air JT610 crashed, I had flight using the same aircraft. It was so scary and kept praying during the flight.
