  4. I know I’ll get flack for this but…
    I don’t mind Cyborg’s origin being changed for TTG. And this is from someone who is mostly indifferent to TTG (don’t like it, but don’t despise it).
    For starters, it’s not the main universe, so they can take liberties like this (heck, in DC’s Earth One books, he became a cyborg because his mother injected him with components from Starfire’s spaceship, and when he became a teenager, it altered his physical abilities to make him like the ship… It kind of makes sense in the book). Secondly, for what TTG’s mood is and with how radically characters have been altered for this show, it makes sense that they’d probably do something like this with Cyborg (honestly, I’m just glad they even ACKNOWLEDGED that he was Victor Stone). And finally, the last reason I’m okay with this… It’s kind of funny, in a dark way. Like, just the idea of him being a normal guy before joining the Titans, and then getting horribly mangled in the try outs to the point where most of his body had to be replaced with cybernetics… I’m sorry, but I think that’s some good dark humor.
    Now, I’m not saying I see this as the definitive origin for Cyborg, but for what TTG is and what it aims to do, I don’t think this is bad.
