8. I'm a state-certified substance abuse counselor (now "substance use" due to political correctness in the DSM5). I see a lot of people coming in to residential treatment for opioid use (we don't use the term "addiction" any longer – see previous PC comment). Although there seems to be a lot of people who abuse prescription opioids, most were not getting them due to medical need or from proper channels. Most were abusing prescription meds just like they would any other mind altering drug for the same reasons. Also – most are abusing fentanyl because that is cheaper. Where is most of the fentanyl coming from? Most fentanyl is coming from China. Although a certain president has shut down much of the fentanyl coming in directly from China, China has found a new way to bring in all that poison – through Mexico and smuggled into the US through the open borders we have. This may need to be explained in China Uncensored.

13. It's actually a really common tactic for companies to cause a problem and then put the blame on their customers with a big PR push. Recycling is another example, you know how in all the old movies they have milkmen? That guy's job was to come to your house once a week, give you new milk, and then take your used milk bottles back to the company to be cleaned and reused. At some point between now and then, companies decided that was too expensive, stopped recycling, and started making disposable plastic packaging instead. They then made massive marketing campaigns shaming consumers for not recycling and avoided all criticism. Almost no one has been the wiser…
