8. Most of the tutorial in youtube about cleaning the engine bay are using water hose and they dont cover the engine with garbage bag. Im really scared to follow those tutorial because i might water some parts. This vid encouraged me to clean my mom’s car. Because it hasn’t washed since she bought it last 2016. I want to clean it for her. On my day off ill clean it. Btw can someone explain to me the soapy water? And how to make it? Because ive seen some videos they’re using superclean or degreaser products, im wondring whats the difference. Thank you chris, because of your vids i am starting to have a new hobby, a detailer. My car is brandnew so it doesnt need any fix or anything now.

9. Disconnect battery …Gunk the engine power wash it off….Done in 5 minutes.  Been doing it for 20 years.

23. may have been mentioned, but if the batter is internal (i.e. anywhere but in the engine bay), only the negative cable needs to be disconnected. Really you only need to disconnect the negative ANYTIME, but theoretically water could gap between the the negative terminal and positive but it's highly unlikely
