i’m a freshman in high school, taking cs1. i’ve been thinking about college a lot, because idk my hs is constantly talking about it, and i’ve really been enjoying the class so far and i’m really interested in just like ALL OF IT, i don’t know. this video was really nice and really makes me want to major in cs in college , but i guess i’ll see what the future holds lmao.
This video was actually really good! I loved each of your arguments
Idk how I came across your channel but I’m glad I did It’s nice to meet another female engineer 🤗🤗💕
I hate that I didn't think about college in high school at all until two years in college im going nuts on career choices
Whats the song in the intro?
This is incredibly narcissistic and immature.
Omg this video is so helpful. I’m currently taking AP Computer Science Principles and started seriously thinking about becoming a CS major but I felt really intimidated by people being super super good at coding while I was just barely learning. I felt scared but hearing your story and advice makes me feel better 😊
Girl everything you said on here applies to nursing majors too tho. I think it applies to any science major. Except for the GPA THING. For nursing you have to have a 90% in HESI and a 3.0 to even be considered for nursing school
I’m nervous about starting at a community college and then transferring to a 4 year. ughh I’m already super intimidated 😩
i also major in computer science and i experience the same thing. CS is alot of work so you have to be really hard-working and try to put in all the effort. You don't have to study 24/7 but try to prepare like at least a week in advance for your test and do homework early. ALSO YES, MAKE FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE IN YOUR CLASS. to be honest, sometimes coding is like a teamwork effort..
Omg girl come threw ❤️😍you’re gorgeous, charismatic, articulate and we’re both pursuing IT careers! I’m subscribed ✅
Thanks for the advice! Starting my first year in a few days so this video is a godsend ❤️
I've written a few lines of code in my life. Recently this year I have been practicing more. I still suck and I don't know how to make a website, but I love programming. I'm learning on Codecademy until I start my first semester at SNHU online for Computer Science on 09/02/2019. I'm very excited. I have a mental illness, but I'm still going to keep trying until I understand programming well.
Can you please talk about the software engineering major?
What computer science career/specialty you going into after graduation?
Any advice for someone wanting to transition from a science/ laboratory background to computer science? Easiest, most cost effective way to do this?
Wow I just fell in love with you in 10 minutes. I just finished my first year as a CS major and you address all of the concerns I was having but never spoke about. This video made me want to keep working my ass off and stick with it, so thank you! Also I am so happy to read through the comments and see all the other incredible women in the major, it makes me so incredibly proud to see such an intelligent woman like you representing! I really hope I can find a friend like you in the major you seem so incredibly genuine and your energy is sooo contagious! definitely subscribed 🙂
Why did you major computer science?
8:53 The binary tree joke lololololol
This was SO helpful
If you’re talking about a binary tree, I think you mean traversing*
Oukast instrumental?!
Sis Dope🔥✊🏾
I'm going to Carnegie Mellon for statistics and machine learning and theres like NO black people there so I'm nervous! Everyone is so smart and everything is a competition I feel like everyone is trying to prove themselves and I'm just like chill guys… We all got in so shouldn't that be enough proof of our intelligence? Jeesh lol. Totally relate.
Taking Data Structures & Algorithms in Java rn and every time you say transverse I flinch LMAO I'm so hurt. I'm getting scholarships but no internships, I really should start applying to stuff and collaborating like you say but sometimes these STEM folk be acting wierd so it kinda feels like I'm doing this solo dolo for the most part. All about finding that network. On the real note though glad to see a sista in STEM xD Didn't expect to be this touched by a video. Keep it up girl!
