  1. Hey guys,
Since posting this video many of you have pointed out that you actually do use hot water bottles and electric blankets in Germany so I wasn't entirely right with that point. In NZ we need them for the sole purpose of keeping warm because our homes can be so cold. Although people like to use them in Germany for various reasons, they don't necessarily "need" them since the German homes are already warm.
As for the other points, these are just my personal observations and I can't speak for the whole of Germany and New Zealand.
As always thank you so much for watching, I appreciate all your support ❤️

  2. Heels give you deformed feet and Hallux valgus. We want healthy feet, because we're busy bees and often on our feet most of the day, at least I am. I wear comfortable sandals in which I never get sore feet! And they're still graceful, pretty and glitzi ! ♥ I wear Kajal, concealer, lipgloss, and perfume. That's it…

  3. I think wearing high heels in Germany is also uncommon because sneakers is the trend everyone is following. Especially in my town. So many people from my school always wear sneakers. Even in winter when it shows!

It is English music that teaches Germans to talk and understand English well.

  5. I as an American prefer women that don't wear a lot of makeup. I can't stand women that wear so much makeup they need a putty knife to scrap it off. To me less is more and I say this in the aspect of a Photographer. A little eyeliner and mascara to highlight the eyes and maybe a light lipstick or lip gloss is sufficient. That is just my perspective. Feel free to comment if you want.

  6. Besorgt Euch endlich anständige Fenster in Neuseeland! Basta.

  7. 5:41 I bet you every single German woman has gone through just this same scenario, which ultimately healed her from the notion that high heels are anything worth aspiring to. I can testify to that myself!

  8. 1. i agree. There are only a few ocasions when i would recommend wearing them. But these are exceptions.
    2. we dont use them like you do in New Zealand but we have them here as well. In my experience they are useful if you feel sick.
    3. as a man i can only assume why women in germany wear less heels but i would say it‘s just way more comfortable and there is no need to wear them. As you already mentioned only a few wear them when going out so there is less pressure to be the only one awkward standing out.
    4. again from a man‘s point of view: i do prefer women when you can hardly notice makeup at all. I dont want a woman wearing kind of a mask. That would feel fake.
    5. Most germans speak english as it is mandatory in school for everyone. But we really appreciate if non-native german speakers TRY to speak german. We dont mind, if you make mistakes. We do it ourselves 😉

  9. I’ve never used thermal underwear. I’ve not used a hot water bottle or an electric blanket since the 80s. I don’t wear high heals. Yep no makeup either. I really want to speak German. I’d love to live in Germany for a few years. I guess that’s not going to happen now but it’s such a cool idea to me. Cool cool. 👍🏻

  10. I'm from Austria and I think that the high heel thing isn't that big in our countries because we just do not care about it so much, because they are just uncomfortable :)) and we rather want to feel good than look good 😊

  12. I still need this stuff in Winter … but Im surprised you don't have "Heizung" in New Zealand like we have xD
I can't wear High Heels. So I don't know how many women in Germany wear them xD true … I don't really wear make up anymore … Im too lazy xD But I still know a lot women who wear too much ^^ yes, speaking english is okay here … But I have the feeling other foreign languages are not okay for many germans xD I often think that's stupid ^^

  13. You don't need to buy drinking water in bottles. Our tub water is excellent

  14. Hot water bottles are mainly used by women when they suffer from "period" pains

  15. I also don't wear high heels because they are uncomfortable and unhealthy. Indeed our streets/walking ways are not made for these heels

  16. What are you talking about? The only thing that is true is that Germans normally do not wear thermo underwear. But make up, High Heels, speaking English – that depends A LOT on where you are in Germany and what people you meet. I guess like everywhere.

  17. I expected this video to be in German considering the title

  19. Very interesting, thank you!
