Did no one realize how bad that yellowey colour was back then on machines
I highly doubt anyone would be buying this computer primarily to play games given the hefty $7,000 (2019 dollars) price tag with the only folks who could stomach such an expenditure being enterprises and business types. Hence it doesn't surprise me why they focused entirely on that.
moça do carro elétrico..
Hi. Do you have any videos on how to restore to factory settings a vintage Apple iMac 750? Thank you.
We tend to forget how many PC compatibles that wern't. Most of the problem is programmers having to write directly to the hardware to save size/space…
I thought the IBM 5170 was the first pc
Kinda weird that you consider 140 miles return to be a long drive 🙂 Given that you are in such a huge country. In NZ it's a shortish drive… Maybe it's a reflection of the fact that families are often spread the length of the country in NZ… Which has upsides and downsides I suppose. Enjoyed the vid anyway 🙂 PS I'd live in Stephenville if I could get a Green Card 🙂
love then channel! always have. But i think a 2020 goal should be a revamp of the set. ditch the wall wiring and replace that countertop. Maybe a color scheme change.. Not criticism just saying now you have over 1 mil subs (CONGRATS!!!!) it's time for the next phase.
Hey! I watched a couple of your videos (this one and about battery backup mod)! Interesting. Subscribed… 🙂
4:03 yeah just carefully balancing a piece of computer history on the edge of a table
SX64 came out mid 1983 in Australia
His shirt should say "Size DOS Matter"
On screens that small with such a large dot pitch, I'd much rather just use a monochrome display.
Would have liked to see more closer look at the dates on the chips the cpu was 1983 so 1984 definitely fits the year
Yeah, owning an all electric vehicle right now is pretty dumb. I can see a plugin hybrid but not a tesla.
I once had a Sanyo MBC555C. Same shit 😉
The firt "real full color" laptop is the Toshiba T3200SXC I presume. Love your channel ^_^.
Someone who still knows what CGA was
My first mobile phone was made by Sanyo, nostalgia!
Why do we need to see you?
I remember using this computer with debase for vw parts store. The store still Stands. Bill and Steve’s foreign car parts Downey California. They still use old dot matrix printer and old network monitors. Downey California
Sorry pal, haven't You considered Sanyo did not make it 100% compatible on purpose ? By that era there was still no standard set for computers software and hardware-wise. I do enjoy Your films and all effort You put on building Your history of computers, only thing I start not liking is personal theories and little bit too much of advertisement (cars, "fruit" gadgets and little bit weird theories). I hope You will not loose Your old track and stay as You were few years ago.
I had to stop watching when you said that you weren't going to retrobrite the system. It looks absolutely terrible. If any system needs it, it's this one.
Nice collaboration! Thanks guys!
Keyboard keycaps are pbt and those dont yellow
Did you need to brag about your tesla?
One question though? Can a computer like this one or the Commodore SX-64 run an earlier Windows Version (e.g. Windows 3.1 to Windows 1.0)?
Love the green screen monitors. I had to use an old apple one for my tv in my bedroom when I was in highschool. Totally messes with your eyes.
I thought this was a result of smoking AT the puter
If youre making a built in display for CGA why not make it run in composite mode?
Don't forget the Texas Instruments Portable Professional PC, which was color and released in Jan 1983. (These were not really mass produced, but were used internally. It was hardly portable!!! Seems like it weighed about 35 lbs IIRC.
My laymans guess would be that maybe it released in Japan first? And thats why theres a date discrepancy?
I never thought I would see any computer (outside of a video game console) with composite video output.
Why on boot up does it say AT&T personal computer?
From Vietnam with love
TX Rt. 377 is alot more grown up than it used to me. Basically Granbury burbs flows right into Bluffdale now.
The yellowing of the keyboard is due to sunlight; I recall seeing an article a few years ago about this. I've also witnessed it myself in offices where equipment was partially exposed to sunlight. That's why the underside, which is in shade, is still pristine.
The same company that made refrigerators made a pc
What tube does it have ? A sanyo
OH MY GO YOU AREEEEEEEEEEEEEE, im in arlington! iv watchd like prolly half of all your videos on 8-bit keys so far. slowly coming to this realization was like an added layer of lore to this series.
dude 1 mil is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo close
My dad worked at that restaurant in the 90’s.
In my opinion, seeing the productivity floppies being tried out after years of not being used would be cool! Having a representation of properly using productivity oriented apps would be really cool cause we could see what people in the era it came out used the productivity floppies for!
