9. Used your directions but made a filter pocket ..left opening in seam. Folded seam so that there were equal side in each side of seam and continued with the remainder of your direction. Turned out perfect.

10. * INSTRUCTIONS *

    Cut a piece of fabric to the following dimensions: 12.6” x 9.5” (32 cm x 24 cm) fold the piece of fabric in half

    You will then need to mark each corner twice with the following dimensions: 2” (5 cm) – Also, make sure that the side that will eventually show is tucked on the inside.

    Once each corner is marked, you can now sew your sides (as well as the top of the mask) – When hand sewing, make sure you start your thread pointing down. Once sewn, you will then need to cut off the excess corners from each side.

    After that, you can now turn your mask to the wearable side through one of the open holes now use your iron to flatten the mask. You will then want to flip the bottom of the mask up and iron that to the following dimensions: 1.6” (4 cm). Flip the mask to the other side and repeat. Your mask should now look like a cute little crepe or burrito!

    Next you want to pinch the bottom of each end and iron it. Fold it over again and place your elastic band in and sew it up! If you can find the elastic online, it’s recommended to use two 10” (25 cm) strings.

    You mask is now complete!

    Don’t forget to place a coffee filter or paper towel inside of your mask! Hope this was helpful. ❤

18. FYI These masks don't really protect the wearer, they do stop the wearer from spreading germs, to a degree though. Why only that? Because air takes the easiest path and when you breathe in, easiest path is around the edges of the mask, not though the mask. That's why proper N95 medical masks have a seal all around the edges. This might be news to somebody. Took me a bit of web searching to discover this. Also, sewn masks should be handwashed in warm soapy water after use. Hang to dry or put in dryer. (pretty small dryer load though!)

23. Knocked out 20 of these masks last night, with some pattern adjustments. They fit great. No need for metal nose pieces, they conform nicely to the face. But please, DO NOT put pins in the middle of the fabric! Once you poke that hole, you’ve created a place for the virus to travel through. If you have to hold the pieces together then you sew, use paper clips or something other than pins.

24. A plain fabric for demo purposes would at least show stitch lines, prints make it hard to see what's happening.
