What the Professor doesn't quite admit is that being TOO open to ideas and TOO willing to change, as most progressives pride themselves on, is NOT a good thing. And Haidt's study PROVES THAT! He just describes it differently, but it's the same outcome. Liberals are liars, they don't care about life, they're only about power and they'll tear anything down to get it.

I have to disagree. Conservatives and Liberals don't "balance each other out" as Haidt so kindly white washes.
How can you have balance, when one group is balanced on all 5 traits, but the others are hyper focused on 2. That's not balance. That's imbalance.
If you want balance, then liberals should JUST care about 2 traits and conservatives should just care about OPPOSING those 2 traits.
We don't get that. There is no balance here. Liberals, left to their own devices, would crumble in a ball of flames under their own Chaos. Conservatives if left to their own ends will create countries, write the Constitution, and create great works of Art, because society and culture and order is important to them.
Whereas Liberals want change for change sake and will tear anything down if they think someone is getting the short end of the stick, even if it means throwing the baby out with the bath water and hurting millions others. Liberals tend to be very short sighted and only concerned about emotions and what feels good in the minute. They can't see the big picture (every Liberal I've dated proves this).
So for all this this, and all the reasons I commented below in my other comments, liberalism really is a mental disorder and counter intuitive to good human achievement and good order and discipline and the nation needs to start controlling its schools to keep this insanity in check. Here is what I saw occur. Obama campaigned as a moderate, a middle of the road guy, instead he was extremely radical far left. And a socialist and a communist. That of course alienated most of the people who voted for him. So the silent majority, the voting block who elects every president, swung the opposite way. we should NEVER have a far left nor a far right elected to DC. Dems hate repubs and repubs hate dems, but it's not about either party. Obama got trump elected. The way to solve the problem is get the radicals OUT. There's evidence it may be down to brain structure and other factors. The yin/yang between these elements of neurodiversity seems to be important for how human groupings react with the world.
1:28 I'm not sure tribalism allowed us to create large societies and come out of the jungle. The invention of agriculture caused large sedentary societies to form for the first time. Tribalism was a result of that. Before then we lived in small nomadic bands. I'm not sure how tribalism actually facilitated the growth of large societies.

God has always blessed America because many years ago America desire was to obey God. Darkness has chosen to oppose God. God will not bless a country which won’t obey him. This country will continue to decline until it observes, and obeys God. Will that happen? Very doubtful! Man would rather follow darkness than light!
I don’t think the different sides involved will come together. It will continue to get more divided. Secession seems to me to be the best solution, or things might get really ugly. Let California, Oregon, and Washington leave the union together as its own smaller country. Let Texas and whatever other states want to leave with it go. Let some states become their own countries all together (many states are comparable in size to European countries anyway – as well as being more culturally homogeneous allowing for the Scandinavian models to be more possible). Let’s think about peaceful ways to coexist instead of trying to control each other with the big unwieldy federal club we’ve been using to bop the other side on the head with every four years. It is better to be peaceful neighbors than violent and contentious roommates.
